    @Thornen You saw that too, eh? I mean, I won't lie. It's entertaining to see someone cast 7 meteors on a target, in attempt to kill them. As I said previously in this thread — you must really want to completely eradicate your target, if you drop 7 meteors on them. But, after the humor fades? It's sad. It's sad that someone has to exploit to be relevant.

    a 598k score is far outside the current meta and is not achievable by any legit means...

    I only know of one person in the entirity of time I have played this game who has been permabanned

    I gave them screenshots of someone clearly selling their exploited mats from the last writ/banker exploit and they basically told me not to worry, people sometimes just sell things much lower prices (all from one guy to another one guy within like 5 minutes, thousands of gold upgrade mats and so on being sold for like 20g a 200 stack). Yeah, I don't think they worry too much about making sure people learn not to exploit.

    And thats the problem, if you don't permaban someone for cheating then whats the point...everyone may as well just cheat because there is no consequence.

    I know someone who was perma banned, wanna know why? A lot of name changes and some profanity in zone chat.

    If that person stays perma banned for exploiters/hackers dont? We have a problem

    The reason they can't really perma ban everyone is they never set up a "cheat and be banned" from the start. Now as @Rylana said in a thread cheating has become part of the meta and normal gameplay for this game.

    They would have to ban so many people for abusing bugs which the community has just moved to accept is part of normal gameplay it would be a mess.

    What they could start doing however is actually creating notifications as new bugs come up stating if they're used you will be banned. Then actually take some actions against those banned.

    I am even fine with a strike system like some games have used, 1st offence warning/72 hour ban, 2nd offence week-month ban, 3rd offence perma ban.

    The issue is we as a community see nothing being done, and when it is done all we get are getting information from Reddit, or other forums not Zenimax. They needs to be the ones to make the statements in big letters on the front page saying "Users were penalised for taking part in a recent exploit, we would like to remind everyone that exploiting will lead to account suspensions and potentially permanent bans"

    You know, actually have people see they're doing something and make the people on the fence think twice before cheating.

    Yup. I love the game, I love the setting, I love the Devs.

    I hate the backwards corporate way the company is run. I understand ZOS is a new company for running an MMO but they must have done some research into how others do it. Even Bioware did a better job of communication and rules enforcement in their first months when they released SWTOR.

    Best way to get ZOS to act is by revealing how to do the exploit on the forums or youtube. The writ exploit was around for months yet as soon as it went "viral" on this forum they hotfixed it on a friday night that same day!

    Reveal the exploit so enough people can see it and repost it and they will fix it, otherwise they dont give a ***.

    Some people tried to do this on reddit ect with the banker bug and previous ones (I have several times), you know what happened? All threads with any sort of mention of these things deleted within minutes...well depending on who you are.

    I thought that at this point in the game people would have just accepted that rules aren't enforced firmly, if at all. Whats entertaining is the names on this thread decrying the use of an exploit this week but a month ago exploited the f out of the banker. Welcome to the other side of the argument and good luck in getting ZOS to enforce a perm ban that might actually improve the general community.

    24 hour ban, Ooo, laying that smack down. Thats gonna stop sooo many people from exploiting the hell out of the next series of bugs that'll come with the patch.

    And to think that a certain EU PC DC guild got a few days ban for glitching into one of the EP gates in Cyrodiil 2 years or so ago very quickly after being reported while these guys are free to exploit as much as they want with only a 24 hour ban or no ban at all. /rollseyes
