Definitely needs to be patched. I don't think anyone will get banned if it's something in the game (unrelated to another program). As far as I know, nobody got banned when you could gain back all your stam with roll dodge + forward + block (launch of orsinium - was hotfixed).

Client side things can be altered.

And there are some "cheats" you can do without doing anything "tricky" or even using software.

for instance in the recent past you could double triple + cast ultimates that where placable simply by spamming the ult key OR macroing it in for more versatility. There are some funny things u can do to go to off maps and cut straight to the last boss or pull a lever and go to the last boss. etc these things don't require software or huge tricks besides space bar lol.

But others do require "tricks"... some you can do by quick switching your internet on and off /blocking packets/manipulating packets. others are more complicated still and actually require software designed to do just that.

But no the Server hasn't been breached. if it had, your character would prolly be rolled back. or you'd wake up to 20 million in gold and a bank full of materials, infinite crowns, and everything unlocked.

Omg. I had to comment before this gets taken down. I barely even pvped on WoW and even I know of the flying hack in rated BGs, the kick bot and ddos hack to make another arena team lose. The only thing I've seen is slightly progressive is Overwatch's permaban which if you want to send $60 on a game to get banned and have to buy a new game to pay, that's on you.

I honestly think if they did more perma-bans and placing hackers with other hackers into their own twisted hole, I might actually try pvping on eso.

Now that I'm looking a lot more closely at things — how in the world do you accomplish a 566,398 score on VMSA...? I know some Sorcerers who can do in the 520,000's... Maybe even a bit higher. But, a 566,398 on a Templar...?

That would mean you'd have to clear the entire thing in 30mins. (give or take), not use any sigils, have amazingly fast load screens, and be able to burn the bosses in like 2 or 3mins. tops...

It's a cheat engine, its been used in the game before. People who use it should be perma banned no questions asked no second chances, they know what they're doing , then patch the game so cheat engine can't be used. I would post link to the cheat engine hell even post tutorial but ZO$ will say im lying and ban me

566k is possible, I believe the highest you can get on a Templar would be almost 570k

But the issue is this player wasn't even competitive at it

Thank god ESOLeaderboards exist @Woeler to go from #25 to #1 in 1 run with no practice, no kill order no months of resetting and dying rewatching your videos. Complete bs really. You have these people blatantly exploiting because they know there is no consequences, you don't just have people assuming people are exploiting/hacking your game with cheatengine or whatever it is they are doing, you have hard evidence now on people affecting leaderboards and slapping peoples hard work in the face.

I'd like to see what happens, but likely I'm going to be banned for naming even though the names are right there when you press J and hit your leaderboard tab.

The only thing ZOS has done over the last two years is encourage people to exploit. I have seen hard core fair gaming friends turn to the dark side simply because they're tired of losing out on gold/score/rewards whilst the people abusing bugs were reaping the rewards and facing no penalties.

ZOS are going to end up losing more customers over frustration they continue to let this happen then they would if they actually started enforcing thing. Whoever sets up the teams in ZOS really needs to get a full security team together who focus on server security and rule enforcement, pay some people to actually keep this game fair for everyone.

It's not like Zenimax Media don't have the money.

Want to know a sad story?
During 1.6 Veteran Dragonstar Arena when it was competitive and my group was going against Hodor for the #1 spot a double munduns exploit had arisen, we both talked to each other and came to conclusion that neither of us were exploiting it, but we had to say we're both allowed to exploit because it became such a widely known exploit that to be competitive against each other and have fair scores.

That is the type of sportsmanship this game resorts to, and I'm sick of seeing it time and time again happening, and now it's happening in solo instances. This right here is what is ruining the game for me.
