Hello there! :cookie:
I really feel the need to start anew since a while now, and finally decided to give it a try but...
WHERE do I even start?

My main is from AD, and no matter how much I love the location, people dont seem that fun, rather quiet...I love elves, and I am a quiet person myself but I am also all for having fun and dancing in the middle of a city (obviously only in game =D), just as I am all for playing solo and watching the beautiful sunset over Auridon. I absolutely love the quests, the locations, its beautiful, but I want to know for sure that I am not missing out on something even nicer.

I have tried out DC and I love how much vampires are involved in the story (I loooove vampires <3) and some locations have a (kiiiind of) gothic feeling to them, so that is a big plus to me, besides that the people are extremely friendly, rather crazy sometimes (erping in the middle of a forge? plz dont).

EP: Not a real opinion just yet, since I didnt try it enough, except Bleakrock is the cutest island ever <3 and I am a nord at heart in real life, I love mountains, snow, forests, pine trees... But what about the people? Are they friendly? Are they reserved? Are people nice and helpful if you need them?

So no matter how much I try to decide I just cant, since every alliance has its qualities. I would really love to get help from people that have experience in different alliances, or people that want to speak for their own alliance but please, keep it civil and constructive if you can.

TL:DR
I want to start a new character: Tell me the bonuses of your alliance.

Thank you!

Any kind of bonuses really xD... focusing from storyline to community. Are the quests interesting? Side or main ones. Are the people friendly? arrogant? fun? reserved? Any kind of information you can give me about your alliance that you consider worthy to share.

    I'm dc with 8/8 toons

    Pro

We are friendly and quite aged ( a lot of people her played the TES series Since daggerfall)

Quite good at pvp even if we are the underdogs (PC EU)

    Cons

You will never win a pvp campaign

You will have to face zerg and bombsqads (reds and yellows) everywhere.

@Tonnopesceb16_ESO wow so you guys have that problem on PC too? I tried only once a pvp campagin in DC (ps4 eu) and it was rather painful to watch... we were going against the reds, and for some reason everybody was hiding or standing behind, throwing their little magic here and there and nobody had the courage to go in front to actually take a keep ;___;... we struggled for two hours and we didnt advance two meters... but from the friendliness, you guys must be the best from what I have experienced. Also asking somebody in game a question, you almost always get an answer. For example I asked a guy once just how did he get the daedra costume and he ended up giving me tips on how to beat VMA, and kept talking throughout the day, but that of course is just an example, even hanging around at the vampire shrine there you make friends immediately, so I find that awesome and a big plus!

If you are just somewhat friendly and social, there are lots of communities that will open up for you. Try to get friends and join guilds, branch out and don't laser-focus all your attention on 1-2 other people.
-If you do that then you will have a very good experience in this game, regardless of your alliance choice.
-If you can't manage to do that, then join PC/EU AD - we are the largest faction on that server and platform, so we have the most crowded location along with the biggest carebearing community. I mean all 3 of AD races are popular among roleplayers lol then there are all the other social communties within AD.

We're not afraid to teach dungeons (at-least not me).
Freely offer tips on builds/suggestions without a condescending remark.
A lot of undaunted pledges being run daily.
PvP we rule when we give it our all.
Offers help with leveling non-combative skills

That's all I can think of but yeah I haven't made another alliance character since I'm DC for LIFE.

o.O I've kinda got bad news for you..

I'm childish and immature to the point where even my officers warn new members in my guild about it. I'm about to create a new char in DC for raiding purpose.

Well TBH I always felt EP had the Gothic Feel to it.. Even the people that play there. Aside from the "SKYREEEeem" Kiddies that just started playing Elder Scrolls from Skyrim itself. Not that its a bad thing I am happy they are here and make PVP that much easier B)

But even though I am AD for life I will agree with Tonnopesceb16 here and say that DC are the more mature players as I have 1 toon over there and a lot of friends that play there that I know from playing EQ/Asherons Call and many other MMO's. DC seem to be the most PVE focused of the three.

AD is just beautiful and the people for the most part are a mix of the other two alliances and it just feels like home to me.

I really just don't like the atmosphere oF EP, and I think it has the weakest story line of the 3. I am an AD, but if I were to start over, I would play DC with a class combo I have never tried before to get a new experience.
    PC NA AD
Gamma Fyr: Dunmer Sorcerer Stamina DPS (the Missing Sister...props to those who get the reference)
Samekh Fyr: Dunmer Nightblade Magicka DPS
Claire Le'Rouge: Breton Templar Heal/Tank (the Resplendent Bastion)
Augustus Constantine: Imperial Nightblade PvP (Blackwater Bandit)
    Shadow-of-Sundered-Star: Altmer Dragonknight Lowbie

AD all the way. In my experience people are friendly, helpful, the zones are the most visually appealing (in my opinion), quests are the most interesting and least cheesy (again, my opinion).

Whenever I play EP (I have two EP dark elves), I always notice more immaturity and rudeness in zone chat. Maybe due to the "lol ima nord" Skyrim effect, who knows. Still, EP is probably my 2nd favorite for the same reasons as above.

DC, I don't know. I just could never get into that. Some of the Breton zones are cool, but I HATE the Redguard zones and quests. Every time I get there on my AD characters for Cadwell I just grind zombies to be done with it.

At least on Tuesday you can buy up to 4 more character slots for 1500 crowns each to experiment with. :)

Thank you a lot guys for all of your input! Now I am more inclined towards AD and DC... but just like Phinix, I have the same problems, in fact is what made me stop playing with my first DC character, around lv 30 I got so bored around those deserts... I can deal with rude people so that wouldnt be a problem for me in EP, however I still play this game to enjoy it, I am not the most focused on achievements or anything, and to me EP people always seemed a tiny bit elitist, but I didnt want to make any assumptions, so I came here to ask you! =D
