Even though they have a lot of international employees, Witcher 3 was developed in a Central/Eastern European cultural setting (hell, we actually added swear words in Mass Effect localization where there originally were none...) and takes place in a universe established in books filled with crass humor. Erasing vulgarity and sex would be going against the atmosphere of the series. On the other hand, recent Elder Scrolls games are usually pretty tame in this regard and when insults are used, they're derived from local culture and language, not modern English slang.Molag_Crow wrote: »It's because the western world is pretty sensitive & easily offended, so we can't even have bad language and such in mature games these days.Look what happened to one of Tracer's poses in Overwatch, for example. Played Witcher 3 yet?
No problem! Actually, it's supposed to mean "outsider" or "invader" or "slave" apparently (it's a strictly Dunmeri term, though, like "s'wit" which is slow-wit or slack-wit).
"Fetcher" is also a Dunmeri word for slave, supposedly.
