    The only reasons to take deeper castles than the EMP circle is for strategic advantage only to cut off troop resupply for the enemy or for taking scrolls.

    There is otherwise no need for it. After you capture the scroll or crown EMP, let the alliance take their home keeps back to allow for proper competition.

    PvP Farming 101: If you outnumber and outclass your enemy, don't crushing him into the ground, let him win a little ground to keep them coming back. That way everyone gains more AP over time. If you utterly crush your enemy, then the only thing you're going to be doing is sitting there in your keeps, playing with yourselves on an empty server.

    CP needs to be addressed if the topic is PvP in shambles. The two go hand in hand.
    HOW DID THEY THINK PUTTING A 3600 CAP ON CP WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA?!

    If you put in AOE caps OBVIOUSLY there will be more zergs. *WOAH!* The population of campaigns is probably half of what it used to be.

    Clearly this whole thing was a train wreck - failure by design.

    We need ZOS to start punishing/enlightening players who are bad. Cyrodiil is so unfriendly to the cowardly and PvE is an ever-increasing crutch.'

    That is the ONLY way to break up the zergs. Putting an in-game mechanic to actually punish ball groups just seems unrealistic. You need to reach the players. You're never going to solve the problem if you can't admit the problem is the behavior of your player base. I think we need anonymous instanced duels: MMR-based, CP-based or a combination of both; Something! That will help players GET GUD. Because what's there at the moment? Cyrodiil? LOL

    They can't touch PvP because the game is held together so delicately. The ONLY reasonable fixes they can do is to add gear sets.

    So.. nothing has changed in the 2 months that I've been playing Paragon?

    I logged in a few days ago to say hi to a few people, and starting wondering why I couldn't get my ult off with the R key. It's amazing how quick your muscle memory changes from one game to another!

    The only thing dynamic caps does is prevent the overpopulated faction from completely overwhelming the opposition on pure numbers as has been happening. It doesn't affect you otherwise. If you and your friends are part of the problem and refuse to be part of the solution I couldn't actually care less if you want to move to a different campaign or not.

    Dynamic pop caps are a decent idea but the problem is that they can prevent people from playing at all, which I am sure ZoS wants to minimize as much as possible.

    I prefer the idea of campaigns that are underpopulated to get bonuses to damage against players and structures. It could be called "Battle Frenzy" as contrast to Battle Spirit. Formula could be simply a 10% bonus that is multiplied by the amount your faction is outmanned. So if your faction has 50 people and the opposing faction has 150 the bonus would be multiplied by 3 for a 30% damage bonus to structures and players. (tweaking obviously needed, just pulling numbers out of the air)

    But a couple of things would have to occur for this to work well:
    1. IC population has to be separate from overland population OR IC has to be involved in campaign score somehow.
    2. The system check needs to be responsive, unlike now with the population bonus scoring being very sluggish.

    The idea is to give the low pop campaigns the tools to fight back and make a game of it, not just bonus points for being low pop like how it is now. And to allow that system to dynamically adjust quickly so the bonuses don't extend into a situation where the population rebounds into a more equal state.

    edit: I realize this makes dueling and testing tougher. Not sure what could be done about that. Maybe the bonus applies only while nearby keeps or something.

    History tends to repeat it's self and based on that what you are asking means DC would lose ash 24/7. So EP would be at ales 24/7 AD at ash 24/7 and DC getting dped at glade 24/7. Nether group would fight each other much instead they will go for the easiest targets for ap (path of least resistance). And right now the path of least resistance is any faction with lower population numbers.

    What really needs to happen is dynamic population caps were only 10% more players are allowed to enter the play field based on the population number of the lowest faction. It's not perfect but it does keep the numbers relatively even. Personally I don't care if it creates queues; vet ranks are going to be gone and the alt restriction has been removed so they make another character or go to a different server.

    Did you see my thread about capturing enemies and the mass flow of tears that ensued over even a suggestion some players be taken out for a few minutes? Imagine the earth shattering rage the devs would endure if large amounts of people were not allowed access to a campaign. :frowning:

    Apparently this is the must have, everyone spams, ability that will improve the pvp environment.

    I'm amazed some people still, after 2 years, cares enough to cap an entire map.

    Anwyay I'm so bored with Cyrodiil and its current state that I only PvP a couple hours daily, and almost don't even bother to solo PvP. Why people bother to PvD at the moment is just beyond me.

    My idea of dynamic population on a 30days campaign :

    1) You must register to join a campaign cycle in the beginning
    2) Once all 3 factions reaches a certain threshold, the campaign starts
    3) During the cycle, you cannot home there unless a player of your own faction doesn't play for a certain amount of days (he gets kicked out of the campaign) or he decides to re-home somewhere else mid campaign
    4) When the campaign ends, everybody has to register to join the campaign again. First to apply is first to be served.

    I would be excited about DB if it weren't for poisons.

    Balance is going to be completely absurd next patch. These one-shot poison builds are going to be completely overpowered, and there is literally no way to counter them.

    Kind of unrelated, but related in a way. I logged on to Trueflame last night as EP, saw a ton of LFGs in chat, so I started inviting. After playing for a few minutes it became very obvious that AD and DC were simply not present in significant numbers, so I wasn't really taking my leader role seriously...since there wasn't really anyone to fight.

    Then some guy in my squad started complaining about how badly we needed teamspeak, so we could be 'organized' in our chasing of solo questers and capturing resources. I about flipped out on him, though I contained myself...he not only wanted to kick the other factions while they were down, but wanted to do it in the most efficient manner possible. Seriously? Do people really need teamspeak to do something I can do alone?

    Ya it was pretty bad the other day/s , EP ruling the map and we AD with very low Pop couldnt even get to a farm at Fare....some / most of us gave up/ logged out, but i was thinking how bored it must be for EP to wait around for a few scattered players knowing that those players will give up and leave at some point, then no one to kill or Farm AP from.

    Maybe those EP who were AD and jumped ship need to go back to where they came from lol.

    EP was pop locked by 2pm Eastern. It may have been earlier but didn't think to look in till someone mentioned it on zone. At the time DC and AD were only 2 bars. This is when they pushed emp. If that is fun for them then that's cool, they aren't looking for a challenge.

    Lebron doesn't play 5v10. His opponents don't score points while he's not at the game. If you want to compare the situation to sports, EP on Trueflame is currently playing on a constant power play, sometimes a double. Hockey wouldn't be very fun if that was how the game was at all times. All anyone is asking is for some semblance of sportsmanship. If all you want is to win, you can go to a game where it actually matters. No one plays this game intensely for an infused Leki staff.
