Even more bad news - as far as I know(as in last time I checked), if your group is disbanded, making a new one while still within the instance in question will NOT let you stay in the instance. You will still get kicked.
That aside, you have a point. If you don't like the group or suddenly have to run you can simply leave, disbanding the group literally means no one gets a shoot at the activity. Which is fine if you're playing with friends and just want to regroup asap or something but less so with a stranger in groupfinder.

That's awful. So basically, whoever is the leader has the power to ruin everything for the rest of the group? I can definitely imagine a troll helping players get to the end of a dungeon, then disbanding the group during or immediately after the final boss fight.

Middle of Blackheart Haven, the leader for whatever reason disbanded the group mid-fight. Under normal circumstances, I'd simply invite one of the other guys to a group so we wouldn't get kicked out of the dungeon. Due to this being right in the middle of a fight, I was unable to do this before the timer expired and all of us were violently ejected back to where we came from.
Seriously? Why is this even allowed?
There should be a rule where, if someone uses Activity Finder and is selected as leader (or is promoted to leader mid-activity), they should be prevented from disbanding the group until the activity is complete. There is literally no reason anyone would want to do this other than for the explicit purpose of annoying other people. If they don't like the group they got matchmade with, they should just leave like a normal person.
EDIT: Exact same thing just happened in Elden Hollow.

Leaders of groups formed through the Grouping Tool can no longer disband the group or remove other group members.

I do not.
Yeah, it's really hard to ask your group members if they can stay in group for 1 more minute so you can hand in the quest. Not quite the the same issue, but, one thing that happened to me is, as soon as the group finished Elder Hollow, everyone left and I was kicked out of the dungeon, and was unable to turn in the quest. So I go back in to turn it in, all by myself this time, and, surprise surprise, the QUEST RESET BACK TO THE BEGINNING! Not the dungeon, the quest! *** damnit ZoS, WHY?
P.S Same thing happened in Darkshade Caverns
So, I am FORCED to play something I do not like to get into a dungeon?dtm_samuraib16_ESO wrote: »Be VERY happy: at least you get into a dungeon.

Roll a healer, or better yet, a tank.
As DD, expect long waits, or PUG a group in zone, or join a guild and ask there.

A friend of mine almost gave up on ESO altogether after an almighty rage quit brought about by some a$$hat repeatedly kicking him from a group he was being paired with (he was vet14 at the time so no real strength based reason to kick him). Supposedly the final straw was when the same a$$hat did the same thing in a different Vet dungeon later on the same night.
Luckily, after some heavy sedation (beer), the rage subsided and now he still logs in to eso.
Honestly, if people want to be that fussy about their groups they should form their grouping privately, not using the Finder tool. How hard would it be for the tool to be changed to only allow 3 kicks per grouping and if an individual is kicked from a group 3 times in a row, for it to rotate their queue to a different group instead of the same one as before?
Anyway rant over…
