Why is Werewolf Devour still a 3 second thing?

so many times i'v seen werewolves in dungeons and pvp needing to stop every few seconds to devour, thats fine but a whole 3-4 seconds? in pvp thats denyable and you dont even get the devour credit if they spawn somewhere while doing it

    What's worse is that, during that 3 second devour animation, the corpse disappears and you get no extra duration from it.

    really? even in PvE? thats kinda pathetic

    Yup and certain mobs in PvE despawn too fast for devour to finish. I wish they would just make it instant, would be a very nice QoL change.

    I'm waiting for the WW ulti to get the overload treatment @ZOS_JessicaFolsom pass this along please!

    I.e. when I hit the ultimate button it doesn't consume the entire duration and I can swap in and out. Leave the timer the same as it was when you transformed back to non wolf form.....would be so great

    In the meantime, Devour could pause the countdown timer, and then add 1 second each second during the channel. That way if the corpse disappears mid-Devour, you will still get something out of it.

    Actually, devour pause the cooldown. Even if the corpse disappear, your failed attempt don't consume too much precious time.

    But yeah, I'ld love to see devour giving back life and extra time each second.

    I want something completely different.

    I want NO TIMER ON WW FORM, Stay furry if you want. Maybe add a nod to lore and have that only be at certain times like at night but, nah, stay furry if thats what you want.

    But...

    DEVOUR IS A NEGATIVE.
    Turn devour from a passive to a cc on your char.
    DEVOUR: On killing any enemy, there is an x% chance of frenzy where your wolf devours the fallen, taking no other actions for y seconds. Duration scalee upward with health loss. You cannot cancel out of wolf form during frenzy.

    Would not allow break free or if so, some drawback.

    So now a wolf in fight is powerful but prone to loss of actions. No timer for n-combat.

    So for the times when you need more flexibility dont wolf. For multiple adversaries who might drop a dot on you in frenzy, wolf at your own peril. One big bad with no adds, furry.

    Ymmv.

    With the pts nerf on the Pact leader morph, if they do it like overload i will be able to stay in pvp for maybe the same time as it is live...

    WW needs to be a toggle still the worst ulti in the game only useful for certain situations.

    If they would make it so the timer stopped while out of combat we wouldn't need a toggle and the rp people could use it as they please

    Totally agree with this. They don't need to change the way the ultimate works at all. Just pause the timer out of combat, like it does during devour/at the shrine. Would make a huge difference.

    Instead of having to stop to use an animation to actually eat the victim, how about an animation like the NB blood siphon thing they do or the templars ability that looks a bit the same with gold beams. (sorry names of the abilities eludes me atm). There are many werewolves in PvP, but you really never see them transformed because that 3-4 sec animation is DEATH when you've got enemies around. Also like to see the returning animation be a lot faster too. Like switching on and off vampire mist form, or to "vogue" like in the Grimm TV show. It should be within 1-1 1/2 seconds to transform back and forth.

    I totally understand the immersion factor, but I think we can bend that just a little bit to make it more appealing to use more often. The addition of the dire wolves for pack leader was brilliant, but I don't see myself using it much in Cyrodiil at all.
