I think thats "working as intended", so there wont be a fix.
I wish they would undo that, its horrible and Major Expedition feels slow as hell, making elusive mist even more useless, too...

@ZOS_GinaBruno promised a fix by the next major update, which is DB. Did they forget?

They want to revert that? Yes please! Can you give a link with that confirmation? I seem to missed it.

Yep, we are aware and it's not intended. We're still working on a fix for it, which will likely be included in the next major update.

This quote from Gina was from 8 April. That was the last we heard of it. They have ignored any more recent threads asking about this issue, because they lied about it being a bug and they hoped we would forget. It was done on purpose and almost certainly will not be reverted at this stage.

If zos cant fix it plz revert it back.
The snare meta is over the top and the reduction to general movement speed made it worse.

I hesitated on making a thread about this because i thought zos would remember but we are so close to DB launch, i have yet to see anything about any fixes to general movement speed.

Since DB went onto PTS I have started 2 threads about this issue. Both were sunk and disappeared really fast :)

Then we NEED to keep this thread alive. There's only 1 more week until live. This is unnacceptable that a known issue is not even mentioned by the devs. It looks like @ZOS_MattFiror is telling the devs to keep it quiet and hope the players forget about the issue so they can save labour and make their deadline. This is dishonest business practice.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom why is there no mention of this issue? You said it was being worked on April 8. It's been almost 2 months and there have been threads asking for an update, which have been ignored. If we have no response from you, then this leads us to believe that my suspicion is true and your upper management is telling you guys to hide some issues to save labour time and costs in order to push content to your deadlines. This is unnacceptable. Conduct like this leads to players leaving the game.

I really wish this would be fixed at last... It's probably the main thing that killed my enjoyment of PvP after TG and made me leave for a month to play other games.

"Returning" players who quit immediately after seeing and feeling the game Post-TG.
They instantly felt the sluggish movement.

It needs to be addressed soon. We got 1, MAYBE 2, pts patches left before we can offically call it a feature :/

    Hi everyone,

We’re still working on this one, and do plan to make some improvements with the goal of bringing movement speed more in-line with where it used to be. Changes won’t be in until sometime after Dark Brotherhood launches, but we are working on it.

My guess is that this is an animation issue. The speed of the animation has to match the speed the character is moving. It probably also impacts sound, since the footsteps have to sound when the animation would suggest they can be heard.

On a related note... Apparently the sound used for barefoot is the same as when not barefoot. I forgot to equip shoes/armor on the feet of a character and did not notice right away because the sound was the same.

That is so incredibly random @lordrichter haha. Wow. We'll pass it along to the Audio team. Nice find!

Edit: So apparently this is working as intended, not a bug (just for your own peace of mind.)

It has been on the more complex side, and a tricky one to track down the cause of in order to fix, yes.

Thank you for looking into this.
However, I would say that the easiest way to fix this is simply to revert the changes made. Those changes were never asked for nor needed in the first place and add balance issues to the game when it comes to speed (not all magika users are sorcs with streak).
With the revamped well fitted, it is now an useful trait for some builds but that will increase the mobility issue of magika users versus stamina users even more (again, for non sorcs, nb).
So I leave here a request: please consider the possibility of reverting the changes made to the Expedition buffs.
    Thanks.

I actually disagree completely - the expedition/sprint speed change has been a major PvP improvement in my opinion. In general, people seem to be more inclined to stand and fight and combat feels more visceral and fluid rather than everyone zooming around the battlefield. It also brought more balance in mobility between magicka Sorcs/NBs and everyone else. Additionally, sprinting has become valuable and necessary again. I applaud those changes wholeheartedly.

Serious question. Anyone here who is a programmer can you explain how something like this happens? isn't there like version control and what not that are supposed to prevent changes to one thing effecting another?
