Max out your bag and bank space and learn to manage your inventory like everyone else.
Can't find the items you are looking for? Need a place to trade? We welcome ESO players of all platforms at ESO Trade, the home for trading of goods and services in the lands of Tamriel.

Really you don't even need that, just a know how of how to manage bag, I've only done 2 bag upgrades and don't have inventory full issues at all unless I just forget to unload. And I got to vr this afternoon, so you can do the whole game without more than 2 bag upgrades at the least. It's not skyrim, you don't need to pick up everything you see, just what you need. And bank everything else. I can get it down to 20s/80 in bag if I really try but i usually get it down to 32-35 each town visit. Not a hard thing to learn how to do

Max your bank?!?! Who has three quarter of a million gold to waste on ~50 slots? I still insist, if you are having inventory issues, maxing out your bank will not solve them.

Applause for OP. You gave me my first guffaw of the day.

It's a good point though and one I and many others have made before. Going way, way, way back.

There are things I love about ESO - particularly the combat - but whoever is responsible for inventory management is a total sadist. Designing the game so you need (especially if crafting, but also just for collectibles like disguises) alts for storage and you have to log them in every day for 2 months to max it out. And you can't really start on that until you settle on a faction and what every character on your account is going to be. And then having done that and invested time and money in expanding their inventories, you're severely punished if you change your mind and delete any.

Meanwhile there's arguably your biggest competitor, GW2, whose combat is banal but where inventory management is never painful. I play GW2 more. Sometimes (when I think of it), I log in and +1 my inventory for a few characters in ESO.

It amazes me how some people have inventory problems, while others don't. Perhaps this then, is not so much of a game issue, but a personal issue. When I first started the game I reached max inventory while questing, so I went to the bag merchant and upgraded, I also upgraded my bank space... both of which the initial purchase is fairly cheap. What I learned along the way is that there is absolutely NO REASON to keep everything, and I frequently destroy things that have ZERO value even if I could eventually sell them in a Trade Guild, I still don't even bother.

The solution is to join multiple Trade Guilds, and at each major city find your bank and sell things through the Trade Store. Also, decon everything you aren't planning to research, and only worry about selling Mats... don't try to sell useless leveling gear through the Trade Store; you can also sell gear to regular Merchants if you don't want to decon or if you don't belong to a Trade Guild. Currently, I run three Crafts and maintain all my crafting materials in the bank- which I have expanded to 80 slots, my character has 70 slots and I have yet to run out of space anymore.

As others have said, proper inventory management is the key, and not being a hoarder... ESO is NOT hoarder friendly.
Most players that don't have inv issues either don't do crafting at all or/and roll a few alts JUST for inventory/crafting. Now if you aren't into alts...yeah...my main has 170 bagspace and 240 bank space. Since she does ALL crafts and has all those potentially good sets she's not willing to get rid of, yes, she has rather huge inventory issues.
I'm usually stably at ~140/170 with her. If, gods forbid, I PvP and buy all those trebuchets and stuff which do not stack(may I ask WHY?) it becomes even worse.
In short, inventory management is possible but extremely clunky. And if you're not into endlessly exchanging stuff between 5 of your bag alts and your main(s) yet you do crafting and collect rare sets, well, you're a bit screwed there.

My VR12 DK is my crafting toon.
Maxed: Blacksmith, Woodworking, Tailoring, Alchemy, Enchanting, and Provisioning. All on a single toon.
I still have plenty of skill points to tank dungeons and quest.

    This game is about CHOICES.

Spells - you can only have 5 at a time. Build a deck, rotate spells that need leveling and have them displayed when you get xp.

Bag space - I vendor everything white. I deconstruct everything green and blue. I try to sell everything purple once. (if it doesn't sell, then I deconstruct it). I have increased the bag space on my horse as well as my personal bank.

I got by. This game is not about hording. Can't do it. You don't have a trusty companion that can carry your stuff for you (Lydia in Skyrim). You have alts that have personal bag space that you can utilise.

Everyone else gets by. I read someplace that bag vendors were coming to the crown store, but I do not know if it's MORE bag space, or just in lieu of spending gold to normally increase your storage.
[Hard Mode Dungeoneers] is recruiting all players of all levels for this new Guild.
THIS IS A NEW-BUT-GROWING GUILD. We are focused on doing vet pledges, vet dungeons, getting achieves, & doing hard mode bosses.

according to op, that just makes the game restrictive and less fun. we should probably get to have all spells locked and loaded; heck, only casting one at a time is too restrictive, all spells just fire at once whenever you cast.

I'm in the same boat as you, new console player, trying to run a crafter of smithing, clothing, alchemy and enchanting (crafting is my main enjoyment in the game), and space is just impossible. I'm up to level 24 now, and I'm completely overloaded, I have 90 bank space, and 92 inventory space, a huge expense for my level, and I just can't cope, between the materials for all the crafts, the weapons and armour you're waiting to research, those silly treasure maps which I haven't got around to use, and the collectables which I'm afraid to throw away in case they're of future benefit, there simply isn't enough space, lets not even talk about saving set items, I've had to bin them because of space. The problem I feel isn't so much the inventory system, it's the fact it's unfairly harsh on crafters due to their huge material requirements, all they need to do is introduce a storage bag or space for each type of crafting (which only holds items associated to that craft) and the problem would be solved, instead anyone wanting to do crafting is always running a tedious game of how the hell do I keep everything I need.

To those who don't know, your weapon/armor enchantments and motifs can be used in crafting while they're in your bank Pretty sure with other materials as well but not at home to double check.

PC game and console game is the same game. Only difference is addons and players' experience. You can't benefit from addons but you could use the second aspect instead of insulting the people trying to get you the help/advice that YOU ASKED FOR.

Seems that you found your perfect solution, I just hope for you that you're better at managing guild mates than you are at managing inventory or forum contributors, otherwise you will very soon be back to square one. Most "10-friends-guilds-for-bank" don't last because of people not getting along and wanting more for themselves only.

Hey Quadro, learn to read :D !!!! (I agree though that conversation is a little bit harder to follow since big snips were - rightfully - made by moderation).

That sentence was related to PC vs. console. "You cannot benefit from add-ons since you play on console".

Sure there are a couple of add-ons that are extremely helpful with inventory management, no debate on that from my side. Still, they cannot help a console player.

I've found that 130 Inventory/ 130 Bank has been fine for me.

This is with four crafting professions almost maxed, whilst levelling up.

    * I should add, one of which is Provisioning.

What I find annoying is, let's say I have 25 fish, 1 perfect roe, and 5 fish fillets in my inventory. And also maxed out on my inventory. The game will not allow me to fillet my fish even though I already have roe and fillets in my inventory, which both stack. If the only possible things that can come from filleting a fish is perfect roe and a fillet, why the hell do I need an empty slot?

I leveled all crafting on a 1 character while leveling up, buying extra bank space as I could afford it, and not using trading guilds.

I did need to make 1 mule for provisioning supplies, but other than that, I kept everything in the Bank except my research stuff. Are you keeping both raw and refined materials? Don't! You're doubling your storage requirement. I refine everything as soon as I can and when I outlevel a material I ditch the scrap raws that i have.

Didnt manage to make that kind of money yet but I am up to it! Lately ESO feels like "work" to me, I just struggle to get money when I log in, get certain motifs, repeat doing everything over and over, didnt manage to level up not even to vet10 yet, didnt even do one new quest... just grinding and stealing ;____;... have to get out of that cycle before I feel like giving up on the game.
