Battle Leveling

I would like to know if there is any plan to adjust the current battle leveling mechanics. Levels 30 to 40 over perform and with astonishing survivability, sustain and damage output quite above any player in full v16 gear yellow. Lowbies playing in CP-enabled campaigns with max cps (501) are a huge problem right now and will get even worse in the next DB DLC coming up.

I have seen some magicka templars be able to dodge roll 6 times in a row (without reseting the 4 seconds diminishing return) and still be able to cc break at will. I have seen stamina dks be able to dodge roll 12 times in a row (without reseting the 4 seconds diminishing return) and still be able to cc break at will. On top of that, they can deal moderate damage that can get you down quite easily and quickly combining burst together and they can tank like crazy.

Freshies with 501cps have become a huge problem, more and more the past couple weeks as we see those beefy lvl 34 tanking 10 players at a time and performing much better than any v16 fully geared could ever do. With the new perks of heavy armor coming up in Dark Brotherhood, I believe we are making juggernauts out of those lowbies and it will be a huge mess.

Why Zenimax why!!

I don't know what are the numbers behind battle leveling but please revise them. I'm at the point that when I engage multiple opponents, I keep the lowbies for last because I know they are going to take forever to kill.

This is definitely not working as intented.

  • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
  • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
  • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
  • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
  • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
  • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
  • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
  • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
  • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
  • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
  • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
  • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
  • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
  • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
  • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
  • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
  • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
  • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
  • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video
  • Fix loading screens when keeps upgrade
  • Fix Rams going crazy (spinning around)
  • Bring back dynamic ulti regeneration
  • Fix speed bug (abilities locked)
  • Introduce dynamic population
  • Lower population cap by 20%
  • Add Snare Immunity potions

    You know, I completely forgot about battle leveling but you're right. Last month there was a level 18 healer (I assume an alt with access to lots of CP) and literally we had 4 people pound the living snot out of him.... He never went down. Massive amount of sustain, healed through everything. He simply would not accept the grim reaper's hand.

    Of course maybe there was an exploit or bug being used, I can't be for sure. But he seemed to not care to fight back at all, but made sure to have whatever buffs he had up at all times. It was weird, he only cared about running around the upper resource tower with us tailing him and healing. He did not fight back. He was in skeleton costume.

    I know what you mean. I've been playing around with a low-vet nightblade healer (in PvE, but w/e), and even when trying different goofy gear combos I still hit around 46k magicka with food when scaled. Makes my geared-out v16 sorc jealous.

    It's sad my level 38 Sorc has more resources then my Vet 16 in all golds does and I'm not even wearing a set.

    I havent reached v16 yet but I noticed my level 24 khajit nightblade with hardly any passives has more weapon damage in 5 hundings rage/3 ashen grip with a measly 2h in cyrodil than my vet level 10 in cyrodil with 5 hunding/4darkstride/3ashen (more bonus to wep damage from set then the level 24) while dual wielding all medium passives 2 weapon damage enchants on jewelry

    One thing a I notice is the level 24 weapon has more base weapon damage.



    I dont understand this either. I get zos wants cyrodil to be approachable to low levels (hence the NONVET campaign) but for them to have an advantage over veteran players outside of the nonvet campaign is something far beyond me

    I think this is what you call "Revenge" for all you vets that came to BwB when you had tones of CP.

    But to be honest with you, I think non vets characters should not be aloud to play in in CP campaigns. On the other hand, is it really a huge problem? I've always liked to gang up on really strong fighters, it was fun.

    Very interesting. Thanks for bringing some numbers into the table because I don't think anybody is aware of what battle leveling really scale of. What I know is that a crew of 5 magplars lowbies who know what they are doing with 501cps are literally unkillable unless you bring twice their numbers and even there, it is quite the challenge.

    This should be fixed in DB (The perma dodge rolling lowbies at least) I don't know about the other issues.

    In DB expansion the non 50 level characters will loose access to the CP points on their account. Unless I missed something on the patch notes and I have my facts wrong this should clear up the issue as you will have to become a level 50 character to gain access to the CP system.

    I've been slowly leveling an alt in PVP and Orsinium and it's been mildly depressing to watch him slowly get weaker and weaker as I neared and then progressed through vet ranks. Now he's shelved till DB when at least I can gear him well enough to be almost as strong as he was at level 40.

    I would think it is a combination of the two. No CP would drastically hurt a non "Vet" level characters resource managment.

    This should be fixed in DB (The perma dodge rolling lowbies at least)

    Why do all good things come to an end? Cloak and perma dodge rolling are ESOs greatest inventions.

    Battle Levelling. At least right now, on a low level dodge rolling and break free cost considerably less than they should. My level 18 magicka NB can dodge roll 10 times with zero points put into stamina or tumbling at all. I have 36k magicka with drink and no jewelry also, as a bosmer.
