A lot! Most every time I play I take the time to try and earn them.

I don't chase Achievements as a general rule. If there is a title or dye associated with it that might be a goal I set. Like, the other night I finally finished the Dolmen General Achievement on a character I have had since Launch, so I could get that dye mostly. Sometimes if I load the game up and have no specific goal in mind, I will peruse the achievements to see if there is some activity I can do, like the Monster Hunter one for instance, or to see if I have completed the content for a zone.

So, the Achievements are more a hint or idea system for me, not something I look to rack up points in.

Once the story gives me a quest to "Go to the next area" I get to play Fill In The Map!
Find all the skyshards, kill all the world bosses, finish the quests, clear all the delves, probably close one of the dolmens again for fun... & usually look up that Treasure Map I DIDN'T manage to find on my own.
    :p

Fishing Achievements though I am taking my time, I enjoy fishing for its own sake & don't want to ruin it.
& for the Monster Collectibles its more like "Yay, I got one of those items on a long list!" I expect that will take me years to finish.

I run a guild for this purpose, however I down prioritize them a lot for the good of my guild and friends.

I prefer to help out a v1 in a dungeon where I have already gained every achievement possible in, than chasing scamps in Imperial City sewers for achievement. Of course if I can help someone and gain achievements, I will be most happiiii <3

This answer was closest to the truth. I go more for 100% completion rather than achievements on my main. The only thing I actively will grind is for a title or dye that I don't have.

I spend time chasing after those that bring me a dye... especially when its one I really want. And of course, those who are merely an "checkpoint" for something else, like skyshards or crafting stuff... well, and of course the public dungeon conquest stuff, thinking when I am already there, I might as well do it all.

The rest I tend to just slowly plod towards during my usual playing, keeping them as long term progress indicators to have soething to work towards on the days when I find myself bored. Not that any such day has happened yet in ESO...

I used to go crazy after them but the newer ones are becoming so difficult to achieve to me and some of the older would require much more inventory than I have available so I slowed down.. a lot.

im a roleplayer, so while i may devote more time to the game than most just standing around, chatting in character, i do indeed do my fair amount of PVE, but mostly centered around just enjoying the scenery, sometimes questing, anything i can see my character doing ill do, because i like to get absorbed into the role that is my neutral necromancer/wizard

achievements just dont play into how i enjoy a game, aside from the fact they have little to no effect on my character, what am i going to do when i earn them? bragging rights? why? whats the usual response from a typical net friend when you tell them you got a achievement? a lackluster 'yay'? its not worth it to my eyes

dont get me wrong, im not criticizing those that find some joy in achievements, i just dont see the point.

@bloodenragedb14_ESO I'm usually a completionist in games, however when I started out in ESO I had bigger problems that bothering with achievements. It wasn't untill I was v12 (max level at the time), got myself set armor and l2p basics of my class that I regained my old desire for chasing achievements.

Now I hunt most achievements, if it is within my reach and I have the time for it.

It's what keeps me going. I have 80-85% of them currently, including TWO master angler.

    Yes I have no life!

But, I thought some I would never get. Beating trials on hard mode?! Yeah right! But now I'm only lacking a few for trials (only one left out of all of them!) and vet dungeons. It's awesome what you can do when you find a team willing to help and who plays well together.

There are titles and dyes that I can strife for with minimal effort on my part that I don't mind getting.
Things like PvP titles that I can get just for playing the game or killing the daedric generals, which isn't all that hard with some effort, etc. I don't mind working for.

Then, there are achievements like Master Angler. F*** that achievement.
I tried fishing, once or twice and I got to say, to those of you that actually got the achievement, congratulation because I do not have the patience to sit and play bass hunter simulator with RNGesus, I deal with him enough as is.

I try and get the basic ones e.g. exploration/dungeon/dolmen/quest related, but those a just come by doing the content anyway, no special steps required. But I will NEVER go out of my way and waste time for some obscure achievements like trophy gathering, fishing, finding hidden NPC's and such - it's a huge test of sanity, and I cherish mine.

I'm sitting at around 14,1k Achievement points, having most of my bars filled to 75-85%. But the most annoying one I can see myself doing will be hunting monsters' collectibles. I once tried to go for the Perfectly Balanced Gyro, I spent 14 hours straight, farming one room with a decent respawn of several groups of dwemer automatons. Ended up getting like 15-20 Whirring Dynamos which I already had before.

It's really about the RNG. I get Clannfears' Dreadclaw, or whatever it is called, really often, same for Whirring Dynamo.

Also, when I dont feel like fighting for a quest,I enjoy hunting achievements,..like Master Angler. I've gotten the Khenarthi's Roost angler,Auridon angler, and Wrothgar angler so far.
The one that eludes me is the Waterfall achievement in Wrothgar. XD

This is my current achievement total.

    388f4c99e9.jpg

However I stopped playing pretty much. Been 4 weeks since I started my new job which takes up 40-52 hours a week and since then I have only logged in for 30 seconds once a week to buy from the golden trader.

Other then real money being more valuable than the lack of fun the achievement hunt gives me I am tired of the game because it ads countless achievements that are disgustingly slow to obtain such as steal 1,000,000 and monster trophies. RNG on trophies is so low I killed 4.5k flesh atros and still didnt get the one I needed (+ all the atros I had killed playing the game to the point I started to actively farm them) and as for the steal 1,000,000 well the maths says you would need to spend (on avg) 50-60 days, 2-3 hours ea of those days just to get the achievement due to time gates.

After all that, after the new job... well I just took a break and while away I realized the fun and the effort was only worth it while the achievements seemed doable (In a realistic manner..) and that was even with barely a single reward to see from doing them anyways...

Meh, I would love to come back but I wont be if the achievements keep being stupidly implemented. I was really looking forward to 100%ing all the PVE achivs as well but I just cant seem to find the motivation. If the trophies appeared to actually drop a reasonable amount of the time, the achievements time gates didnt out-way the fun and fun of doing it for x amount of time thus maybe a steal 250k or maybe 500k even total then maybe it would be more reasonable and I could consider it a fun achievement hunt but as it stands it is unreasonably unbearable and I have wasted to much time as it is.

      Agree.

I would even settle with them being more attainable in some cases. I used 21,000 bait to get every fish in the game. I think that is unreasonable for a title and some dyes.

The fun and "new in game experience" is far outweighed by the tedious experience and lack of reward.

Another example apart from all the ones I already gave would be the kill 100 rare scapes x2 (two types to do and they are both single achievements). They are almost impossible to achieve without spending 200-300 hours farming them EACH and they give no reward in terms of number of achievement points and no dyes.

They have already fixed some of the things they DID do wrong. Such as the number of champion points to obtain before you 100% the character achievement bar. (lowered from 1200 EACH to a more reasonable amount). However that just makes me more angry because it shows they could fix the mess of a game they have created for achievement hunters and instead chose not to do so.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NE0xEHUUZac

That video of mine is old so I did a lot more work and I THINK I am now on about 18k or 19k achievement points HOWEVER if you read my above post I am on only 30 seconds a week now and have stopped playing virtually..
