I have said it multiple times myself.
That was when talking about if leaderboards should be account bound or character bound.
If they had account bound and gave better rewards the better the score, you would have a reason to tryhard with different character setup, and also some guilds could not take over a trial with having it on 8 different characters. Im one of them actually, and have 5 characters on leaderboard in sanctum already this week, but I dont the idea of it. But since I dont do anything illegal, I will continue doing it, most to prove a point. I want it gone.

Not totally sure that is true. I think precise will still be better in a Raid setting, which is frankly what I min/max for. Only time will tell. Nirnhoned also might be the best option, but it very well might be sharpened. I am about 95% confident that as of today Precise > Sharpened in a raid setting.

But ultimately, that's not the issue. Glad the OP continues to update his runs. I can't be bothered to complete this more than once a week anymore. It's not longer fun, and the buggy mechanics and terrible RNG makes this place miserable.

Said it before, but I think a very simple answer is to introduce trait change if they aren't prepared to introduce a token system. I also like the idea of having the guy at the end give you a choice between perhaps 3 random options. Elder scrolls games have done that plenty of times before:

Oh you collected this rare material? I will craft you a weapon of your choosing. Would you like a Bow a Staff or a Sword.

Another solution that would perhaps be cool would be not drop weapons, but drop the glyphs that give the enchantment. Make them bound and make them so they can't be applied to a set piece. Then you could craft what you want and enchant it. Or just put them in the darn cyro vendor already. I really don't care at this point.

Out of curiosity, are you also looking for a sharpened 2h or inferno staff ?

Because it seems like RNG is a scam and that the loot table is gimped when it comes to these weapons compare to every other traits/weapons combination.

Yes, the one weapon I have been after since my first run is a sharpened maelstrom inferno staff. I have received every other weapon, just not the one I actually wanted.

I have cancelled my subscription after orsinium release cause there was nothing to do for me - cakewalk location + boring solo arena (sorry but i dont play MMO to play solo. I can go play single player games for that). Then i realised i need a staff to optimise my PvE build to be competitive - and i bought Orsinium DLC (wasted money) and done that freaking arena countless times (wasted time). I would't mind spending my time and even money IF I GET WHAT I NEED but it just doesnt drop. about 100 hrs lifetime in that incredible boring instance, 3k effin crowns, for nothing! I even wouldn't mind doing it another 100 or 200 times if i could do it with my friends and have fun doing that, but no, solo content in MMO for the win. Ridicolous

Exactly, the arena is boring on its own as it's solo, and having it not being rewarding with the desired weapon is discouraging and not motivating to invest any more money in the game, if they use the same base for future content then I can claim that ZOS politic on RNG is nothing but a scam.

They will never rewards accomplishement, they rely too much on luck , I mean beating the arena 100+ times is not insignificant and yet the only rewards is a roll of dice, they should realise that 100+ runs spent there is an achievement on its own and it deserves a proper reward.

^^ I wish I could have said it this well. You grind repeatedly for something you won't ever necessarily get. Working as intended. Keep VMA drops as they are. No, not everyone should get the weapon they want just cause they want it.

I've been doing msa since the *** release, started on 3 characters and ALL in leaderboard. then started doing it on 1 character and I still haven't gotten fire staff nor dagger, NOT EVEN SINGLE DROP. so yea, *** you zos and your *** rng loot system. it took me around 350 runs to get divine kena, and i'm not planning to do the same *** again with msa. Today i decided to make one last msa run and got nothing. so yea, im done. no more *** msa for me.

350 runs is insane. Like, literally, clinically insane. I think we found your problem. This is like a player complaining that they have looted 10,000 desks and cupboards but never found a Gold Imperial Motif. It's rare. That's it. You may do another 1,000 runs and never get it. Which is fine. Not everyone should have it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go write the California State Lottery and complain that I have never won the Super Lotto.

p.s. dont' compare my thread to this. I didn't ask to change anything. I asked IF there were any ways to do that. Because I still didn't figure out all the options that I have here. I just rarely noticed there's a star that you can click and subscribe to a thread lol.

For me, if I get absolutely every item I want, I will continue playing the game, probably pvp and maybe trials because those are fun.

VMSA is fun after the 4th run as the frustration of wiping is gone and you can run it smoothly while still being challenged, but I can't imagine running it 100 times.

Not everyone will quit the game after they get all the BiS gear they want. They just want to conquer in pvp or trials.

Reducing RNG will help zos keep the players that love the game. People that stop playing and get bored when they get all the gear they want are not a majority of the playerbase.

Ive suggested that they should introduce new gear upgrade after Legendary called Elite, whats obtainable from Leaderboards, higher you, better chances you've to get. Elite Gear Upgrades should be also obtainable from Achievements and Cyrodil Leaderboards.

Past 3 runs I got Sharpend flame and lightning destro staff!

I am like 10 runs total between my DK and Sorc!

So far sword/board and 2 destro staffs!

Hopefully bow or 2hander comes with my weekly tonight!

Defending Resto from the weekly, the only trait of this staff I have had yet got it 7 times from weeklies now......... Loot is definently gimped in some way.
