I'm just asking myself why they dont simply fix it. Shouldn't be that hard.

    Fix what?

The UI bug is fixed in DB so we just need to wait for that now.

For small scale PVP/competitive play, there are so many superior and frankly quite wonderful games that you can choose from. These make up the most popular games in the world, even throughout history before the digital era; with many of the classics still reigning today (Chess, cards, ...) [Note: Chess is the most popular game in the world, 1 in 10 people worldwide play it]
If you want small scale PVP balanced around competitive small group play, you could look no further than the MOBA genre to find a game with 20 million players. You could also examine the FPS genre, another incredibly popular genre with games featuring millions or even tens of millions of players. The RTS genre also has some creative and excellent features itself.

When I entered Cyrodiil for the very first time and discovered gigantic macro warfare with great performance and not a hint of lag in 100 person battles, that was my time. I wasn't the strongest or the best player, and yet I could effectively play a siege role and feel that I still had a place. If I wanted small scale, I would play something else. ESO did one thing right for me, and that's why I've given ZOS what little precious free time I have.

I stopped playing for a long time, before IC was released even. I only came back recently, during this thieves guild expansion. Naturally, I was soon to re-enter Cyrodiil. What is this performance? Are those dropped frames? What is this latency?

That never existed, in case you forgot. To me, that's the game ruiner, not these zerg breakers or even balance I may or may not like, or other small trivialities. It's the loss of that former wonderful glory, that raw huge scale PVP that I haven't sensed a taste of since EVE. EVE and spaceships was never my thing, but my god did EVE do war.

Say what you will about large scale combat; but to many of us, or at least to me, that is one of the supreme virtues of ESO.

Pretty much this. I joined ESO because it promised the enjoyment of large scale battle and warfare. I have done all kinds of PvP from solo, small gang to leading 40 man zergs.Coming from EVE Online I understand what each of those styles means in an open and unbalanced PvP zone, sadly most players want to 1vX without any fear of the X ever being too many.

I understand being blobbed/zerged or whatever you want to call it sucks, but yeesh at least here you can respawn and teleport accross half the map to get back into the action.

Your missing the point, zergs already have a 50?% damage reduction, more healing, more DPS, and more people...they already have a nearly insurmountable advantage, yet they keep nerfing us and giving them more.

furthermore, these large zergs makes the game miserable for everyone else causing red pings and unplayable lag, but hey it really don't matter at this point, ZOS keeps empowering the game style that has driven and continues to drives players away in droves.

At this point keep lagging it up, it really doesn't matter...ZOS will lag themselves right out of business...you cna't even play VMSA anymore without lagging anymore....what does it matter? :(

I've only ever played sorc, so naturally I would also prefer if streak was what it used to be. It's just as useful in teamplay as it is solo, if not even more so. I couldn't possibly imagine that the streak nerf was aimed in particular at giving zergs an advantage, since normally it prevents a single person from killing me within a group of players. It is now much less reliable at this, since I can't continue to use it whenever a short distance gap is closed in the area I am restricted to by the nature of group play.

I also don't know why you are blaming people for lag. PVP was larger scale in the past and there weren't latency problems at all. I don't ever remember having a ping over 100 - 150 in Cyrodiil until I returned to the game, and again... the battles were larger and had just as much ability spam. What I can see is that ZOS made fundamental changes to prevent packet based hacking, and these changes to very base packet types (such as movement) caused such a huge performance penalty that it now causes choke. In order to alleviate this choke, things that previously didn't matter which now suddenly matter have to be changed (such as AOE calculations)

So who really broke the game?
People who want to enjoy large scale PVP?
Cheaters? (This is why we can't have nice things)
ZOS? (Will not negotiate with terrorists)

The sooner the "older" ESO players leave, the easier it is for their business to continue, precisely because there won't be any experienced players getting the new players jaded with their nostalgia and vision of what this game could have been.

EDIT: Based on them being able to continue to attract new players with each DLC.

The video doesn't explain what happens when people survive the Vicious Death proc. Obviously it procs because they "died", but yet they still stay alive.

      Hmm... seems bugged to me.

i dont have a video for it but the other day i was fighting a nb and we were both getting to low health, at 20% he went to cast something i assumed was CC so i held block, he instantly died. Confused i looked around for another dc but nobody, so i checked my ftc damage log and there it was vicious death proc at exactly 20% that executed him. So i messaged the nb and explained what i saw and asked what his death recap showed, his response was the same he saw me blocking when he died and death recap showed VD as the last thing hitting him. I had a few people tell me disintegrate could have procced, but my last hit was a crystal frags, i do not use a lightning staff, and i was out of charges for a lighting charge. im not so sure its just a display bug anymore but i hope whatever it is its sorted out

Fastol, I have also been killed as a NB by my own VD with my opponent blocking me. I have often wondered if there is a mechanic by which block reflects the VD back on the caster.

Might not be an auto execute and might be working as intended, yet I still consider it broken / fooked up.. tried it myself and it's just stupid... even fighting just 2 people, will get the other one killed due to the blast.

Yet another "Wrobel has no clue how to balance PvP"-set.

Agreed it's still a crap set even if working as intended . Makes me wonder how many more calculations the server had to account for in PvP .

Agreed, the set is pretty wack.

They should have made it have a timer on it's detonation with a graphic.

In a perfect environment, this makes sense. Im not saying its always bugged but there are definitely more than a couple times Ive had to wonder about it. The only thing this really proves is that VD is capeable of working properly. When you do this in a perfect test environment, no lag, perfect frames, it will work fine. However when I get myself into a 1v1 situation against an opponent wearing this set and the conditions are not perfect, lag, frame drops and latency the whole "health desync" ui bug stuff is getting hard to believe at times. Not always but I do believe there are issues with this set not seen in this video.

My theory is that VD bugs out in laggy environments, just like everything else. At the very least, in laggy environments I have been VDd to death with no one near me, which I assume is just my client not syncing up with the server and characters being other than where they appear to be.

On the bright side with VD, while it did not destroy the dreaded Ball Group it did promote the "spread out and bombard" meta which I think we can all agree is a vast improvement

Thing is, if you are a stamina melee build... you can't just jump into the fray anymore when there are numbers about. If you are a vampire you reallllllllllly can't jump into the fray (VD procs being fire = bad).

So what it leaves a lot of people with is the only stamina ranged option that isn't bad being bombard or acid spray for aoe.

Though I have to admit being bombard spammed is pretty damned annoying.
