I once made a comment on Twitter about how I really wanted the Pony Guar pet in game but didn't want the plushy.

A really amazing ESO player was in the opposite situation and wanted the plushy but not the pet so she sent me the code to use for myself. I still use that pet almost every day on my main.

Once upon a time I went into a dungeon, well, a delve. I was no good, I was dieing and just doing terrible. A random stranger came along and revived me, as well they helped me through the whole dungeon (never said a word). I was even taking my time looking at stuff and acting like a tourist and they waited for me before they went ahead. Once I left the delve, I got a mail. It had some glyphs for my level, soul gems and some other things. They wrote a nice little mail with encouraging words and said they included a couple little gifts in the mail. I was so amazed and happy

had a friend make my v16 armor for me just gave her the mats for g16 armor and 2 g15 swords figuring ill upgrade later and use my mats to upgrade it from white to purple. When she gave it back to me it was all epic gear with 2 g16 weps not g15 also purple. So all I had to do was enchant it and upgrade to legendary. She also included 200 more food with the gear as I was running low and didn't charge me a thing for any of it.

My guild banded together to make me a full set of purple armor, with enchants, for when I hit VR8 - as a surprise.

They did it again sometime after I reached VR16, with Trinimac style head and shoulders. (I had been holding off until I got decent Trinimac's Valor drops in VR16. (Wearing VR15 right now, still... RNG hates me

).

My guildies were super nice and supportive of me the first time I tried to heal vCoA and failed miserably. They kept saying things like "No the heals are great, let's try again!" even though it was obvious to me that I was not getting the job done. They even refrained from calling me a noob when we eventually disbanded in defeat.

Now I'm happy to be one of the folks that helps other new members get into harder content!

Took a chance on me when I said I wanted to try healing with my DK. I had run her dps but never attempted healing. After the most fun, silly skeever-filled false starts in Wayrest Sewers, we finally got a fourth for our group and had a blast. I went out feeling a lot more confident than I thought I could! Their patience and awesome senses of humor gave me confidence

I was new to the game, had no idea what I was doing and two guys asked me to group up. We ran a dungeon... I was so rubbish!!! I was so rubbish I was mostly laid out dead for the end boss.... but they were nothing but kind, polite and encouraging. It's only now that I realise just how bad I actually was.... but they never made me feel bad, not one time...

LOVE THIS THREAD!

I feel like reading some of these things are the same that I have experienced. Strangers and friends crafting and tossing valuable armor, weapons, and items your way... Or hearing words of encouragement (even from enemies in PVP for doing a good job)... Even a random stranger helping you run a delve or finish a boss that you struggle with.

I would say recently, a guild member who I haven't really played with, spent a good couple of hours running my lvl 8 toon through three zones to help me skyshard. We weren't running a large group but rather it was just for me because he wanted to help me get my character ready for PVP. The fact that someone would take hours (it took at least three) to help a practical stranger do something as tedious as that with no complaints or worries, was really nice and always appreciated.

Because of these acts of kindness, I strive to treat people with the same respect and care to help them as well.

Random acts of kindness? In our current world? It still happens?

One time I was clearing the mobs off of a master treasure chest and another player ran up like he was going to take it, but didn't. He helped me clear the mobs, bowed, and moved on.

I remember spying a backpack early on in the life of one of my characters when I had little of any use on me. I walked over to it and was just about to see what was inside when another player, many levels above me, ran over and got there before I did. Fair enough, I thought, I choose to walk everywhere, this is going to happen! But the other player stopped before looking in it, bowed in front of me and sat on the floor. I opened it and found a racial motif book I was desperately hoping to find early on. Cue my cheer emote, which was followed by their clapping.

A small gesture, perhaps, but clearly deliberate and definitely appreciated.

Once I was in IC and in area chat talking with a buddy, said I needed to keep farming for Rubedo Leather and some random guy was all like "hey I can give you 400" for free....I was stunned..

When I was starting out a guildie gave me 100 Ta. I thought it was amazing , as I loved runes and they knew about it. It doesn't matter than I know have over 300 Ta. I still cherish that 100 stack and I regularly donate stacks of them to low level guildies or random people to help them along in their enchanting endeavors!

(I always wanted a code for a pet as well

First mmo, had no clue about skills, gear, rotation, and was too dumb to check Youtube for guides.

Just to put it in perspective, I was a clannfear pet mage with double resto staff and maw of the infernal, cause I liked the idea of having a small army at my command). And then I wondered why I failed even Elden Hollow ><'

That was my DPS bar... So yeah nicest thing so far was another player, who since then quit this game, actually taking some time to teach me how to play, complete with duels in PvP, where I started putting Force Siphon on him xD, and switch from Pokemon trainer with 2k DPS, to a semi-competent sorc.

When I had been trying to do the end part of a quest in Rawl Kha but just could not kill that end boss in the cave.Even when I came back a level higher.
I cried out in chat for help.And suddenly,people not even in any guild I was in said sure! I wound up with three other players ready to help.We wrecked that boss in no time,and had a ton of fun doing it. I got added as friend to all of them,and they told me whenever I wanted to do more just give them a call.
People who just dive in with players they dont even know,helping them for the fun of it is what ESO should be. Fun.Both of playing the game and making friends.

I was farming in sewers alone and i came across the blue enemy as i knew we were both farming allot of telvar instead of fighting him i placed "hello" so he can see it and we were farming together for a bit so that was fun

I had a 'friend' make me a full set of Hunding's and some Night Mother's when I was a < level 10 Khajiit DK, and then a few sets after that as I levelled, complete with glyphs. He also gave me Psyjic, and even offered to buy the recipe for me - which I refused. Turns out it was because he had a IRL crush on me (though I did suspect that before he confessed). We had a falling out a short time later, which got a bit nasty...

However, I am grateful as he taught me a lot about the game; I've since gone back to my first character, a RG NB and the difference for me playwise is enormous.

I like to hang out in arboretum on haderous and nearly everyday of the week theirs like 0-6 DC there...and they're not exactly the best evar... So besides dueling AD and EP will usually let me join whichever team is doing the worst that day. Which is awesome of them because they could just be mindless drones and attack anything and everything on sight...and it's nice to socialize, learn, grow, and teach.

I forgot. When I first joined the game my irl friend did the nicest most helpful thing you could do. He gave me 25,000k gold, told me to buy a horse and gave me every racial crafting motif. Then I got given food for my level later on. I pad him back that gold after some months past and will be helping him out more in future.
