Yeah this is starting to worry me now. ZoS has no issues pushing bugged code out into their live production environments.
Sweeps on current PTS build isn't scales from thaumaturge CP passive, which is confirmed bug and fix confirmed to be released before DB hits live.Khaos_Bane wrote: »cpuScientist wrote: »

Thx for info!
They better fix it before live!
Noob question, for now/ currently on live( non- PTS) sweeps does scale to thaumaturge, right?
Something that Templars need. Class balance is one thing and ZOS is working towards that i suppose. What we need is an ability that grants major Expedition like DK's get with fiery grip. We need this added to one of the skills such as Vampire bane or javelin just 2 seconds would be nice. It should not be a difficult addition since all the class have a class specific major expedition ability.

Sry for late response!
Sweeps currently double-dips in both elemental expert and thaumaturge.
Normally you might think this is bad since you aren't maxing out one dmg-champion point star like other classes. But templars have many skills that are channels and ZOS considers these channels to be damage over time attacks. It's better for a Templar to split points between thaumaturge and elemental expert to boost the DOS of his/her skills.
On live, it's working. On PTS it's bugged where sweeps does not scale with thaumaturge, and a huge DPS loss. ZOS has confirmed it is unintended, and confirmed it will be fixed in time for live (Gina confirmed today.)
Only issue is we won't be able to test it before since it will roll only in the live patch. Please test this ability when DB drops and submit the reports to ZOS the first week if the fix does not work.

Impen gear champion point changesWillhelmBlack wrote: »My Magicka Templar finally feels balanced on PTS. It's mainly the fixes from TG but the buffs from this patch are very welcome.
I've done a few duals on PTS and I just have one but very large problem. I get killed very, very quickly by any stamina build. I use light armour and harness magicka. It seems that stamina builds can burst the shield in one hit. Not only are they hitting possibly 3 x harder, have 3 x more recovery, they also, as stupid as this sounds, they seem to be out-healing me! I'm a magicka Templar lol.
So yeah, Templar feels great but it's absolutely been left behind again this patch with all these buffs to stamina. Have still yet to try heavy armour but I don't see it working very well magicka sustain wise.
1. Make at least one of morphs of Rite of Passage is self-sustainable ultimate (check Soul Siphon from NBs).
2. Grant Dawn Wrath passive a Major Evasion proc(to make it blinding light-like without affect core skills).
3. Revamp Healing Ritual in some form of HoT/DoT in same manner as Cleansing Ritual.
And after that templars will be perfect.
Changes to Cleansing Ritual and Focused Healing already made next dlc desirable as templars. Finally we got something except of nerfs and for the first time since IC release, i.e. almost year, i am not dissapointed by dlc.

Templar are a pretty solid class in general atm, but we didn't really get much out of this patch. Templar spent most of their effort in the feedback thread trying to get things that are already working fine on live(Thaumaturge/Purifying Ritual) fixed on the pts, while other classes spent the majority of their effort lobbying for actual new improvements. Stam DKs hit the jackpot though.

Is balanced warrior getting changed this patch to increase spell damage as well as stamina damage, or is that still a dream?

Templar doesn't need anything! They're really strong, especially witht he poisons being introduced, in comparison to any other classes we got major buffed since purge will be they key to crack poisons. I'm a Templar since day one and i beg... please don't buff us.
Ok, in terms of some abilities making no sense, yea something should be buffed about them. Solar barrage for instance really needs to be reworked.
