I can alrdy imagine the reactions of new players when they join ESO in a few years when the CP cap has been raised to say... 1.5k
"1500 CP? o.o I have to grind or play that much just to be competetive. Well there is a non-CP campaign in PvP, but ppl keep asking for players with at least 750 CP in PvE ...Screw this, I'm gonna play Tekken 8 or Warframe 2 or the latest Call of Duty: World of Suck!"

Seriously, do you not see what a can of worms they've opened? All the inevitable balancing mistakes they're going to make that are going to have to be fixed in incremental patches? And you want to throw in a increase in level cap on top of that?
Seriously, you're asking them to do something stupid, something that has a 100% chance of backfiring.

It's not only him, dude. Speak for yourself. I played since beta and have 555 CP at the moment without grinding. It isn't a grind. It just happens if you understand how to maximize your experience while playing. I don't see why ZOS is giving everyone a CP bonus if so many of us cant even take advantage of it. It is all about the casual player in this game. Thanks, Obama...
After DB-DLC I will be have 700 CP.
TG DLC - no increase Champion System cap.
DB DLC - no increase Champion System cap.
After DB next 3-4 months (without big update) - no increase Champion System cap.
No progress for my character! It's not OK...WHERE IS INCREASE CAP?!One-Time Bonus. It's important to us that everyone feels like their investment in the Veteran Rank system is worthwhile during this system change. As such, we'll be granting a one-time bonus to those who have spent hours gaining Veteran Ranks. When Dark Brotherhood is released, you'll be awarded 2.5 Champion Points per Veteran Rank on your highest level character. For example, with a maximum level character you will be awarded 40 Champion Points. If you haven't gotten to Veteran Rank 16 yet, it'll be worth your while to do so before Dark Brotherhood is released to maximize your bonus! (c) ZOS

Keep the cap at 501 in the current campaigns in cyrodill
Keep the non champion point available campaigns too
Nolifers and grinders is one of the things ESO doesnt need. Im playing since beta too,Im beyond the cap and I dont want zos to increase the cap until at least 3 more months because they need time to fix the game and more with the vr removal that is gonna be an enormous change bringing a lot of problems.
And you want a cp increase just to break the game even more? Nolifers, stop wanting the game to be an insane korean grindfest game and enjoy all the content and art the game have. Let ZOS fix the game and then a cp increase will come.
Now,lag and fixing broken classes/balance is the most important.
What a nonsense this cp increase thing. Go and play other games or breath fresh air out there instead of wanting a more broken game just to fill you ego.

Well obviously they foresaw this issue in the future. One solution would be to have steady even gaps between CP raises in terms of numbers and time. At every CP raise, new players or players who did not grind would only have to grind 501 CP at every interval. Or a little less if they are above the 501 quota.I can alrdy imagine the reactions of new players when they join ESO in a few years when the CP cap has been raised to say... 1.5k
