ZOS, old players feel resentful...

After DB-DLC I will be have 700 CP.
TG DLC - no increase Champion System cap.
DB DLC - no increase Champion System cap.
After DB next 3-4 months (without big update) - no increase Champion System cap.
No progress for my character! It's not OK...
One-Time Bonus. It's important to us that everyone feels like their investment in the Veteran Rank system is worthwhile during this system change. As such, we'll be granting a one-time bonus to those who have spent hours gaining Veteran Ranks. When Dark Brotherhood is released, you'll be awarded 2.5 Champion Points per Veteran Rank on your highest level character. For example, with a maximum level character you will be awarded 40 Champion Points. If you haven't gotten to Veteran Rank 16 yet, it'll be worth your while to do so before Dark Brotherhood is released to maximize your bonus! (c) ZOS

As someone playing since release: I don't give a sh** if they ever increase cap. I care about balance, not relying on numbers to keep me above everyone else. Make this opinion about yourself, not everyone.

ZOS can increase the CP cap without a DLC. When the average CP level hits whatever level they are waiting for, they can increase it without adding a whole new DLC.

With the rate of attrition on endgame players sick of lag, bugs, exploits, imbalance, content nerfs, rng and now (ironically) no cp cap increase this is a possibility

I'm curious OP... what is your incentive to play ESO at all?
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

Not a joke, Wrobel said exactly this in the last ESO live, that was the whole reason to seperate vet level and cp, and the eventual vet remova

A lot of old players are frustrated . It's true . The reward system of the brain gets clogged up with ??? marks when they're gaining a reward but they can't use it .

When my salt levels get noticeable high , I go to Walmart and do Tai-Chi by the shopping carts . That also clogs up the reward system of the brain so I re group and take a walk on the beach .

This game makes life confusing at times . Maybe they should raise CP .

Who cares. Like i have said, everything is face rollable atm, with the exception of vMoL. Players are complaining in bucket loads that content is too easy. They raise the cap, content becomes even easier, even more players will whine about the game being too easy.

I'm an old player but I have intentionally delayed capping my CP's but I do understand the OP's frustration. The reason we haven't seen a cap increase yet is because they are working out all zone scaling (This is just my assumption), when they have sorted scaling, then we will see periodic CP increases and new mats etc.

Zos please do not ever increase the cap, seriously *** that grind. It seriously kills my desire to start the game up knowing I still got 200+ cps to go until I can truly compete. I can't think of any other mmo(besides runescape) where it takes this outrageously long to reach max level. I cannot even comprehend the insanity of complaining that they have not increased the cap yet, seriously NO. I grinded hours upon hours for the double xp week and didn't even manage to get 100cp in all that time. NOOO, please no more.

And speak for yourself, I played since beta and have absolutely no love for cp. "old players feel resentful" get out of here with that, its only you dude.

I wrote a poem that I titled, "The ganker's delight."

As you lay upon the ground, cry not little pawn.
The pain will pass as quickly as my blade did take you,
but my delight will last and you will respawn.
My heart simply cannot contain my joy, when I ply my trade.

The fault lies with you, your skill was lacking.
Now your salt is mine forever, can't you hear the laughing?
Once you were so proud and now you are reduced to this.
    A miserable, loud deuced fool.

With every tear you drip, with every excuse you let slip.
All of your insecurities and worries bring a smile to my lip.
From your despair I have ripped endless glories,
but our affair is over now. Be afraid for I will return for more.

I have received many titles, to my allies I am The sniper Emperor and Grand champion hero of the Pact. However these titles mean little to me, it is the ones given to me by my victims that I prefer. To them I am "Xv1er", "trash", "no balls", "zerger", "noob", "cringe", "no skill", "camper", "100% new", "the reason this game is dying", "pathetic", "a sack of piece of [snip]", "mediocre", "absolute inbred", "beyond a virgin", "ganky dork", "fat smelly 40yr old virgin", "little girl", "daddy", "exploiting loser", and every [snipped] word known to man.

When the Champ point system was enacted I was "given" 70 CP's

When DB drops I'll be "given" another 40 CP's

    Right now I'm sitting at 582 CP's

Maybe I'm not at the cap after all...

Not to mention the fun I've had over the last 2+ years of playing ESO = no complaints from this player ;)

I'm just glad to have a game that I still enjoy playing after all of this time...and if I can't spend any more CP's for a few more months...I guess I'll learn to live with the disappointment. Life is too short to worry about the small stuff.

I see OPs point. There needs to be continued character progression in an MMO. There also needs to be periodic new content. ESO largely failed at both in the first year on PC, now they are offering new content at a quick rate, but completely falling down on progression.

Some people disliked the vet ranks, and the rank increases, but it was a form of progression. CP supplemented that, and gave a new form of progression. The CP were capped, but ranks increased. That pissed a lot of people off, but it was still progression in the form of new levels and a new tier of gear.

Now there are no vet ranks and no CP cap increase. There is also no new end game PvE content to give anything in return to high level players. A huge chunk of the player base is going to feel let down by this.

I'm an "old" player, been around since 2013 - in my case, I have zero desire to see CP cap raised anytime soon.

I get the feeling of progression from trying different builds in PVP and gradually improving my player skills in small scale battles over a long period of time. I don't get any feeling of progression from grinding for a few hours everytime the level cap increases, just a feeling of boredom.

Obviously, I realize level cap / gear level increases will be coming soon, but I'd still be content if they stayed at 160/501 for the next couple years. Much more interested in other changes like the new district captures in Imperial City, and future enhancements to Cyrodiil towns, PVP arenas etc.

Part of the attrition being from the CP grind. Let me tell you, doing it on multiple accounts is eye opening. On one account I am just breaking the halfway point (251 CP) and it's alot like it was prior to patching in the "catchup" system because enlightenment is so limited.

Basically, this will be a problem until exp scrolls from the cash store do not affect CP,

It's not only him, dude. Speak for yourself. I played since beta and have 555 CP at the moment without grinding. It isn't a grind. It just happens if you understand how to maximize your experience while playing. I don't see why ZOS is giving everyone a CP bonus if so many of us cant even take advantage of it. It is all about the casual player in this game. Thanks, Obama...

Ikr, casual players are the ones who don't need crutches and who always progress by honing their skills. Some players want vertical progression like CP, others don't. As for who falls in either of those groups - just speak for yourself. ;)

I've been playing since PC launch and have no problem with the way CP capping is being handled. I have no doubt the cap will be periodically raised but there's no reason to do it now and no matter how quickly or how often the cap is raised there will always be those clamoring for it to be done sooner and more often.
