Hello everyone!
We’ve just made a few small changes to the forums to help reorganize some categories to better suit their purpose. These categories and discussions have evolved over the past couple years, and we feel these changes will better reflect the types of threads you’ll find within them.
- News has been changed to Maintenance Announcements
- This category has been moving toward maintenance announcements exclusively for some time since most of our ESO news typically gets posted elsewhere, such as in General Discussion and the Website Article Discussions categories.
- Patch Notes has been renamed to Patch Notes & Hotfixes
- You’ll still find all the patch notes for the live megaservers in this category, in addition to any hotfixes we apply.
- Website Article Discussions is now News & Website Article Discussions
- The latest ESO news and announcements can be found first at elderscrollsonline.com, and there is always a corresponding forum thread to discuss the article. Here, you’ll find all of the appropriate threads for the latest news.
- Developer Discussion has been archived
- This forum category was never quite used as we originally planned, and the ESO developers prefer to instead post threads and replies in their respective categories. For example, you’ll typically find the Dungeon team posting in the Adventure Zones & Group Dungeons category. You’ll still be able to view old threads from Developer Discussion, but will no longer be able to actively reply to them. Most of these are relatively out of date and no longer applicable.
In addition to the changes above, you’ll find that we have also slightly re-ordered the categories found under
Official News and Updates.
We hope that these changes make forum navigation a bit more clear, and thanks to everyone who has provided feedback on the overall structure. Here’s to many more years!
