It's a bit late now since you already bought the pet, but whenever i get the itch to actually buy anything in the crown store, i always fire up the PTS and make sure what i'm actually getting meets my expectations.

Has anyone stopped to ask if it was intended to be smaller than the preview before making assumptions? Could just be a mistake.

Based on the preview pic, it should be the size of the store preview, not the size of the final model.
It probably won't get fixed before DB, though. So put in a ticket pressing it to be fixed and enjoy getting to see your pet grow up.

The Nix Hound pet is garbage, I bought it and its like a tiny stick figure. Its legs disappear if you look at it from certain angles. I am really hoping they fix this... cause this is not on par with the quality of previous pets.

That's not a good excuse. Since launch, the Imperial edition of the game has come with a mudcrab pet, which is exactly the same in size and coloring as an in-game mudcrab. And yes, there are dungeons with actual aggroable mudcrabs (i.e. Fungal Grotto). So the "gotta differentiate" line doesn't hold any weight.

Seriously? I'm not just complaing over the item, it's a blatant discrepancy. It looks huge and then you buy it and it's tiny. I provided a pic to prove that. No other pet or mount or costume does this. It's a clear oversight and if I want to return the pet due to this I think should be able to.

I would rather them fix it to be an appropriate size, personally. I haven't bought it, but I was going to, because I absolutely love the nix hounds and I thought that they would be on par with the nix hounds you fight while in Stonefalls and all that. I mean, there's even a quest with a character that's trying to train a nix hound...a full size one. I don't want to buy it if it's miniaturized. Especially when they have dog pets and large cats that are similar in size to the normal nix hounds. There's no reason for that.

Look at the preview photo. This is what I believed I was buying because, well, everything else on the preview screen is to scale.

I bought the guar when it was released. Didn't plan to. Saw the size and liked it, and bought it. Same thing today. Then, it wasn't true size. Just misleading as can be.

The $4 isn't the issue. It's the principal. Either make it right, explain to me how to do so, or change the preview. Simple as that.

It's more about the feeling of feeling screwed once I equipped my new pet. I felt screwed, not happy.

In all fairness it does say "giant insect" on the description. Given its the smallest if insects in the game behind actual npc creatures it's pretty poor for them to make it this size.

They usually only refund for items that are broken (I myself have had a refund because of a severely bugged outfit).

I don't know if I would go as far as saying this new pet is broken, but it definitely is MISLEADING to the customer not to show the item in its actual proportions. You could even argue that the item you bought is not the item you received.

But unless others decide to send in complaints about it, I wouldn't hold my breath. The only reason I got a refund is because it was an actual bug that needed fixing, and they refused to give an ETA for the fix, so I demanded my Crowns back to spend on something else.

I also wanted to get the nixhound pet, and was just about to, when I tried it first on the PTS and saw how small it was. I am holding off on it, to see if they actually make it bigger. It often is covered by blades of grass and you can only see a cloud of dust trailing you XD
