Werewolf Pack Leader wolf companions

Tested this Pack Leader morph of the Werewolf Ultimate out on a world boss in Wrothgar. The wolves were killed within 20s of the fight and never respawned.
Pack Leader (Werewolf Transformation morph): Redesigned this morph so it now summons 2 dire wolf companions to fight by your side for the duration of your transformation. If killed, the dire wolves will return after 16/14/12/10 seconds at Ranks I/II/III/IV respectively.

For the 20 seconds they were alive they did two various attacks, Nip and Gnash, both of which were very low in damage.

This would need a significant buff to compare to the Beserker morph, I really like the idea of it though. Just wish it was better.

EDIT:

The bug with respawning was fixed, but the pets still do barely any damage and die too quickly.

How much damage did the direwolfs do? And does the damage scale of your weapon damage/ stamina?

Very little, about 500 if the "Nip" attack crit. I haven't tested to see if it scales with weapon damage and stamina, but in my werewolf form I get over 4k weapon damage and about 47k stamina.

Sidenote: They also attack random targets, rather than the one you are focusing on. During my fights with the boss in Wrothgar they would run away from the boss to hit adds instead.

On testing, I realized the new wolves were very similar to the Double Shades skill of Nightblades, especially the way they fought.

This morph will be horrible against magicka templars... they'll just get free heals by sweeping those wolves :D

Yes. the pets need a buff to be useful at all.

    Increased damage output
    Increased Health
Perhaps a toggle for dmg/healing such as the Sorc's have on there pets?

The Shades could use some additional tweaks under the NB line also.

Lastly, the Templar ability to heal off of pet damage is an issue in PVP, but possibly something they could turn off on pets or make pets incoming immune to outgoing buff or heals?

While ZOS isn't at the point to make pets on par vs enemies, it seems they are using them as an additional damage source. It is just that the current pets with the low health/damage output, make them useless to most players. (and yes I have seen the pet sorc pvp videos)

Heh, so you want increase your numbers, but don't want anyone to use it against you? What a selfish man.

I'll tell you more - they'll also increases magicka/inevitable/proximity detonation damage, which is predictable.

Actually no. Not looking at the inclusion of all of the above. I was thinking about what adjustments could possibly be looked at to make pets more on par so that a viable pet build (from any pet ability class) could be used by most players.

Thank you for the assessment though.

Also and this is just a style complain, did ithave to be brown? A leader of the pack always turns your werewolf form white,
so it's just looks, but kind of weird, they look like dogs. I guess it's to make it clear, that they are werewolf pets,
but I don't think, that such a strong and ugly indicator is needed.

What a surprise... Zenimax made yet more useless pets that do no damage and die too easily.

The pet colour is random. I have seen Brown, White, Black and Orange so far.

Well that is dissappointing news, I was kinda looking forward to it, and hoping that it would be a viable thing.

Lets just say they kept the wolf pets in pair with the wolves in the game. Easiest creatures to kill and the ones with lowest damage.

it would be also nice if they could make them idle howl when your afk or siting there for a few seconds...to me the wolves feel fake and dont do much...they dont feel alive if you know what mean.

It sounds like a really cool morph. The concept itself is a great idea. I'd still love for the pets to be more threatening.

Still.... imagine like four werewolves charging you w/ 8 wolves running alongside them..... for sure an awesome morph.

They also support malubeth etc. I wouldn't use them in pvp at all. This seems to be for roleplayers or people who enjoy pve.

Someone posted the suggestion that the two direwolves would count as 'werewolves' for the new passive that lets you stay transformed longer based on how many other werewolves are in your group. I think that's a good start.

I have a few suggestions for the puppies.

#1 please check for bodies at the start of a feed so that respawns and despawns don't rob a werewolf of time already spent nomming.

#2 leave the puppy carcasses around longer so we can cannabilize them for time.

#3 give them the same true sight morkuldins sword has so that they follow a player in stealth.

#4 let us target them with pounce for some "jump to a friend" unique Gameplay options.

#5 give them the basic wolf move that makes them channel to bind the target (not a super frequent move, just something they could do every now and then).

Ps thank you for making them respond to pet commands.

Yeah it definitely sounds like they may need a slight buff in their attack power. Thanks for the info! :)
