*I I received the personality as soon as I got to the gold coast.

*I really like this idea as it adds more ways for you to customize your character. The whole costume/personality/hat/skin has really allowed me to make a unique and visibly appealing character. The only thing I wish was different was to have the skeleton polymorph be a skeleton skin instead to further customization.

*This new feature is something that I didn't know I wanted till I got it. I can't wait to see what kind of personalities are added in the future.

*It was very easy to tell what changed with the different idle pose and animations my character had with this personality equipped.

*I would say the only thing I didn't like about this personality is always having the dagger out and playing with it even when running. I feel it would be better to have the dagger animation be active less often.

Did you receive the Personality after going to the Gold Coast?
- Yes, immidiately after porting via wayshrine

Did you enjoy being able to customize your personality?
- Yes, though I would only use one, if it fits my character exceptionally well. I enjoy the difference on character screen.

What are your overall impressions of this new feature?
- It is good and bad: I like the stance, it is nicely cheeky. Idle animation is fantastic, running ok. Anything on this personality looks weird with dual wield, other weapons not so disturbing. Eating apple looks like my char is happily eating his dagger. Dagger often looks like it's glued to the hand.

Were you able to easily tell what changed on your character?
- the dagger is very obvious, but other animations changes were easy to spot and different enough from normal.

Do you have any other general feedback?
- I think personalities will be great for role players, and most likely shake a little role player out of others. I would use a personality, if there happens to be matching one, otherwise it's better to go woth normal.

Love this feature!

I received it right as I zoned in to the Gold Coast.

As a few people have said, I think I'd prefer no dagger when just running, it feels a bit odd running through town with it drawn.

Not sure if intended or not, but when my character does the idle twirlie dagger animation, her eyes go all white, like they're rolling back in her head. It's super creepy. Unless it's just a bug on the dunmer? She has the all black eyes, so the white is really noticeable.

I received the "Assassin" personality as soon as I teleported to the Gold Coast. To be honest it wasn't something I was expecting, and I didn't have much understanding of what it was. As soon as I equipped it, I completely understood - this is such a cool idea and with enough personalities on offer in due time, this will be a brilliant tool for role-players. I do think that it would be better to achieve the personality when starting the Dark Brotherhood quest line, when the skill lines become available.

Only so far having the one personality, it's not entirely helpful for me - my main character is a tiny little templar healer that frankly, dies a lot - so the assassin personality wouldn't really be the best choice of personality for her... But, I am sure that more personalities will follow, including one or maybe two that would benefit my characters and their roles better. For my templar, at the moment I tend to just use the emote /juggleflame when idle (I feel it's the best emote option for a templar).

Overall, I've got a positive first impression, however there sometimes are glitches and bugs, like in every new feature. I do like how the "Assassin" personality changes a character's run and sprint, and I think it would be incredibly cool if the personality would lead the character to reach for the dagger when passing guards and/or potentially dangerous NPC's.

I do like that my character's stance has changed, the way they run and use emotes has changed too. I like emotes, and out of interest I tested how the "Assassin" personality worked with the emotes. Personally, I would have loved if /doom (throat-slit) would include the dagger when making the throat-slit action - for a dark, murderous character that would just be awesome. I've noticed that the dagger appears in the Imperial, Dunmer, Altmer and Regard dances, and in /ritual the dagger just floats by the character's head. Also as previous poster has mentioned, /eat2 often involves the character eating the dagger, meanwhile /drink2 stabs the character in the eye. In addition, /pray often stabs the character in the heart (I know there is a very thin line of comedy somewhere here and I'm not even going there). In my experience, the dagger sometimes gets involved in the following emotes (seemingly unintentionally) - /bucketsplash /cheer /celebrate /drum /dustoff /eat4 /hammer /hammerlow /handtoheart /horn /impatient /lute /plead /pour /rude /self /sit2 /smash /spit /sweep /wand2 (though apparently not /wand) /welcome

I just can't wait to see what other personalities make their way into the game, I also think that being able the buy personalities on the Crown Store would be amazing, as of course we all have different characters in ESO and we would like to be able to portray our characters in a unique way.
Shaetha - Little Wood Elf Shaetha was born in Falenesti. Unlike many of her Bosmer peers, the natural talent for archery missed a generation.
J'izul Silent Paws - Stealthy nightblade born in Rawl'kha. When he's not thieving for skooma, he enjoys fishing and cooking.
Kynirah Tyrathem - Dunmer elder of Mournhold, wise in the ways of the Dragon.
Kynreth Tyrathem - Daughter of Kynirah, new to the abilities dragon blood offers. A skilful young alchemist and chef.
Estelia Thalvokina - An Altmer Mage who dreamed of being a healer, before learning her talent for dark destruction magic.
Horatius Colonia - A dashingly good looking Imperial knight, born in Anvil.
Wyress Gwyneth - Born in Skyrim, this young Breton Mage spends her days protecting nature in Valenwood.
Forge-Wife Morag - Betnikh-born Morag showed aptitude for smithing from a young age, and now never leaves her station.

Did you receive the Personality after going to the Gold Coast?
Yes, without a problem.

Did you enjoy being able to customize your personality?
I did, i started using it right away.

What are your overall impressions of this new feature?
Giving an option to change something as basic as running animation makes the game much more refreshing in that department, after years of watching the old animations i welcomed a change.

Were you able to easily tell what changed on your character?
Yes. It is very clear and overall feature is easy to understand.

Do you have any other general feedback?
I noticed that interacting with crafting nodes and fishing in the world does not hide the dagger. This causes clipping with other tools used in gathering or fishing. Running with weapons stowed in combat keeps the dagger hidden and it is somewhat noticeable especially since the animation plays as if the character is still running with dagger, even though its invisible.

Yes

Did you enjoy being able to customize your personality?
Oooh... loved it.

What are your overall impressions of this new feature?
Good ones... Can't wait for more such personalities. I loved playing with that knife even while walking. I want to play with it while riding too.

Were you able to easily tell what changed on your character?
Yes

Do you have any other general feedback?
Ofc. What about this? Wearing certain costumes, pets or personalities... should influence the way you are seen by the people of Tamriel. I mean... I'm just wearing this DB Robe and i'm playing with a knife and people don't even react. I would run in fear. I would look over my shoulder just by seeing one assassin around.
Any emote texts that will make us play with the knife, scarring people etc would be nice too. Like a BOO command. Or throwing the knife command etc.

This feature is a great addition to the game, but the assassin personality is too buggy for me.
• There seems to be an issue with the eyes when doing the idle poses as some have pointed out.
• Due to the different stance the left hand dagger (dual wield) clips into the leg of my character - looks painful.
• The tiny dagger is floating in the air when the character is not playing around with it.
• It also seems that the idle animations trigger way too often.
• The noise the dagger makes during these animations is extremely annoying.
After a while I couldn't stand it any longer and had to deactivate it.

I really like most of it, but the dagger is just too much. My character is constantly fiddling with it - and I prefer a stealthy intelligent assassin with a bit of a swagger (which most of the personality portrays well) over blade-obsessed psychopath. Have the dagger only show up for the occasional twirl, rather than out constantly with my character seemingly fixated on it.

i love the idea and hope to see more in the future. as to this particular one, i have to agree with this sentiment. to much playing with the blade. seems more like a ruffian then a hardened elite assassin. also, the run animation seems off.

I love the personality, however, I wish ZOS could have wait till there are more than 1, at least 4 IMO, to release them all at once. Why? Because as a RPer, I'm excited to use personality if it right to my character, but also loath to see almost every players out there have the same "personality", trotting around, tossing your knife like a peacock in front of the guards or in a public bar... I mean your "personality" supposed to be unique and different from others isn't it? Not all my characters are suit to use the assassin personality. It's too "cocky".

I read somewhere that the assassin personality was supposed to change the eat apple emote...? It had me eat what appeared to be a chicken leg. Not sure if this is intended, but apples are much cooler than chicken legs.

Also, the dagger is overkill.

As for this 'Assassin Personality' Dagger, doing /eat2 followed by /eat3 or /eatbread causes you to sword swallow the emotes poisoned dagger !!!

As previously stated if you had a dagger equipped it clips, however this could be fixed by using the equipped dagger in place of the artificial one in this situation, as for an offhand dagger it could always be drawn and then idle tossed to the correct hand for the emote and back.

^ This would finally give a use to 'tiny' daggers over the main weapons.

Additionally I am aware that this should be possible, due to the apparently known emote glitch that is apparently used by various players to toss a staff in the air (Baton twirling style). - Why is this not a real emote option already?

It also seems to affect various other unlisted (in the tooltip) emotes, although I'm guessing this is a bug.

I really really really love this feature BUT it could use some tweaking.
For example: I think some personalities should come in pairs, such as:
Male assassin and Female assassin. And they should have a different stance( because when a female character uses the Assassin personality she kinda looks like a tomboy. That isn't a bad thing to be -mind you- but sometime for an RP'r I would like my female assassin to have more femininity and finesse in her stance as I already play as a female Nightblade bosmer assassin.)
But other personalities like drunk or hold torch doesn't need any variants.

Okay, so here's my thoughts:
1. Did you receive the Personality after going to the Gold Coast? Yes I did! I was thrilled to see the message about it.
2. Did you enjoy being able to customize your personality? I do, but... one personality is not enough to really be 'customization', I think you need a variety.
3. What are your overall impressions of this new feature? I like the attitude and demeanor of the personality immensely, but like many have posted, the dagger is like a houseguest that stays around two weeks too long. It is nice to have in tasteful amounts, but it's around way a tad bit too much.
4. Were you able to easily tell what changed on your character? For the most part, though honestly I think I missed the information about the emotes, but that could have been due to my excitement over getting it. Maybe replay that personality information during loading screens?
5. Do you have any other general feedback? I'd like to see at least a dozen choices to choose from, to really give the playerbase a true variety of customization options. Not all characters will fit the DLC personality, and I for one would love to see a "Sword Saint' style of personality, something akin to the enlightened warriors of Asian cinema's Wuxia or Jidaigeki genre. Hells, I'd pay good money for a 'Drunken Master' personality!

Ill be honest, I hadnt actually seen the personality firsthand, just secondhand from videos. Since this feature (personalities in general) is quite important to me, I figured to take a look on the PTS and make a firsthand account.

I havent done any quests for the Dark Brotherhood, so I have no idea the story or significance of this dagger (Blade of Woe?).

<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020507/uploads/FileUpload/30/2d1bf44108fc59de365088c792fd35.png" />

Like many others have said before, this clipping of daggers is a nuisance. Ideally, the off-hand is hidden (if off-hand is not a dagger) or the off-hand is used instead (if a dagger).

Ideally, if I were to have the game just for me (no way right?), there should be an emote like /bladeofwoe that toggles whether the dagger is held in hand during idle, run and walk animations. I think the personality already is very cool even if it just changes the running and walking pace and pose. However, the dagger severely limits the purposefulness of the personality. If there were no dagger, I could use this personality in broad daylight and I'd just look cool, but with the dagger, it breaks the magic circle and looks weird. Who would toss around his dagger in broad daylight in the bank, or at the marketplace? I absolutely love the possibility of showing off my dagger, but I hate to be restricted to it. In the current scenario, for me to get full enjoyment out of this personality, I would need to be constantly changing around my personality based on whether it would be proper to show off my dagger. Shouldnt instead the idea of a personality be something that permeates all characteristics?

In anycase, the addition of a personality like this in the first place was a very welcoming surprise!

Thank you for your politeness ; P

I just want to clarify that the two variants I was talking about could be equiped by both genders. As in the female can for example equip the male assassin personality and vise-versa. So both variants will be available to both genders.

Losing the dagger and pretty much not adding weapons to any future personalities would be nice. Like when gathering runes its like I wield daggers why don't I use those? Or the kill npc yoy shank them with a generic sword rather than your actual weapon.
