Is it possible to inspect other's gears and attributes in this game, like it is easily done by few clicks in SWTOR for example?
Imo it would be great to see other players' builds to compare with ours.
Especially in pvp, where it's hard for newbies to have a decent build to stand against experienced pvpers.

Last thing we need is toxic casuals giving good players a bad name
I hope this is NEVER an option. In TERA, people would disregard you because of your gear and kick you from groups. It was ridiculous, especially when queue times could go up to a few hours. The Elitists ruin options like this. Hell, it's why TERA gave us the option to turn it off so nobody could inspect you if you didn't want them to.

yeah it would suck if we were able to know someone was a bad player before wasting an hour to get a group and wipe repeatedly just to find out our tank is essentially another dps with bad numbers. much better the way it is where everyone gets to waste there game time.

Because good gear = good player...sigh....people like you are why we should never have this. Seeing cp will be bad enough.
you have clearly never had a tank in full light armour using a bow or a dd or healer using sword and board. while good gear doesnt always = good player (I never said that) bad gear never = good player
people like me? you dont know the first thing about me.
This guy is right whether you like it or not.
If you are trying to run a difficult dungeons you could save yourself a lot of time by seeing the equipment of players.
But probably everyone who disagree likes to run ICP with a "tank" wearing no set items and/or bad dps ones.
I have nothing against casual players, but you see things only in one way; you think good players are bad cause they don't wanna play with casuals, what you don't seem to understand is that casuals are also rude wasting time trying to do things they have not skill to do.
Obviously I didn't mean atrocious gear. Leave casuals to pugs and elites to guild groups or people you know.
In the end of the day a moron in good gear is worse than someone who knows what they're doing in middling gear.

ASK THEM. An inspect option has been repeatedly rejected by the majority of the community every time the topic's been brought up. But you can always ask a player for some tips if you think they're doing well.
You know, the really good players can wear sub-optimal gear, because then it all comes down to player skill rather than gear choices to move through the content.
Just because someone can follow a FOTM build guide does not mean they are any good at the game.

Awesome. It must really rock to be born with super godlike elite skills. I mean, going by your statement, you've never been a new player who had to learn how to do something. After all, players who don't measure up to your standard of "good" are rude for daring to attempt to play when they don't have the skills. Of course, it *is* hard to get the skills and knowledge if they don't play, but hey, LEET RULZ! How dare those rude casuals attempt to play the game! Only the uber leet super skilled players should be allowed to play, right?
One question; if doing flawless perfect runs of a delve/dungeon are so important to you, why on earth would you be grouping with anyone who isn't in your guild who meets your standards? If you are grouping with others who have the same standards as you, you'll never run into the rude casuals who don't. I'm playing a game; no one is paying me to play. While I'm enjoying playing the game, I'm not wasting time. Wiping out at a boss or in a dungeon is part of the game; if I'm having fun, it isn't a waste of time. One of my guilds attempted a delve; new players and vets. We wiped a few times, people learned more about how to play and what to do, we laughed at ourselves more than a little, and finished the evening by finally making it through. Not a waste of time at all, imo.

I don't want an inspect option, because when I PVP gear always seems to end up an argument. "Why are you using divines? YOU NEED IMPEN!" But that's not working for me on this builds, and besides, you don't know my CP allocation, my play style. A lot of people end up quick to judge.ASK THEM. Just a Background Check, Credit Report, Bank Statements, Interviews with Friends, Neighbors and Pets, Cell Phone Bills and the password to their Facebook and Social Media accounts.
Tbh so negative feedback is a huge surprise to me. This feature is such a nice additional content to swtor I just can't imagine this game without it. Nobody there actually act like many of you describe above.
Tbh so negative feedback is a huge surprise to me. This feature is such a nice additional content to swtor I just can't imagine this game without it. Nobody there actually act like many of you describe above. No such clear division for elitists vs casuals. In any guild I was playing I never witnessed anyone telling that he doesn't like when others "nosing around his character". That's just so weird in mmo, to focus so much on own privacy and not sharing with others about what you have achieved in game. This is something that usually kind people like to share and talk about in group.
Sure I can ask/bother others about their builds, so they link me their gears etc. But it will take their precious time, and I'm sure it's precious, because it's also precious for me. So describing builds this way just takes time and it's wasting time. Inspecting is much better and faster. And I'd be lucky if I get a reply. Especially If I find a great player but an elitist. That's a problem in pvp. Some people are closed and don't want to communicate, no matter how kindly they are asked. You can ask forever for a group and nobody will answer, even if you ask a group which you see near gathering for a keep, or even a group you already fight together for a keep. They won't allow a random to be part of their group, even if I already support them. I had such situation recently when was trying to get some pvp experience on vet7 and the group was all vet16. If I had a chance to see their builds, because they were all very good, I could take some experience from that meeting, but by just seeing them fighting without knowing gears and abilities I can't learn anything. Especially if people are ignoring you in chat.
It seems mmo creators are taking examples from their competition, and good ideas should be replicated, so I hope this one will be implemented to eso some day.

Always a fabulous answer.
It SWTOR I had started inspecting gear to see how players were gearing. Found a healer in the top tier gear that maybe 5% of the server had at the time.
After a bit I started talking with him and learned much from the conversations. Funny how non-elitist the elite players really are. Lol
It's how we get better. Improve and get more out if the game.
Or we can bury our heads in the sand and enjoy that view.
As has been stated many times before, even in this thread, why not just ask?
