Character transfer?

In the Crafting Bag Feedbag (EDIT: That mistake was too funny to just correct it...) discussion people kept talking about transfered characters. Last time all of our characters were copied to the PTS at some point, can we transfer them manually somehow this time? If yes, how? I am confused... Oo

WhiteNoiseMaker✭✭✭✭I was actually hoping for some clarification on this myself, as I enthusiastically logged into PTS for the first time today, and found my character from about 3 weeks ago, level 30-ish when I am current Vet Rank. Do they update or refresh the character database on a timed basis?
How would one get their character imported off the most recent Live version?0 -

It's not something you can do yourself. Accounts are copied over when ZOS decides to do so, and it alternates between NA and EU (they cannot have copies of both on the PTS at once, for various reasons - everyone on PC/Mac has character slots on both servers, regardless of whether they are used by the player or not, so if you have only ever played on NA you have 8 empty character slots on EU, or vice versa - I play on both servers, they cannot copy all of my 16 characters over at once so they have to plump for 1 or the other set of 8, also there may be duplicated character names or guild names on the other server as such names having to be unique is on a megaserver basis).
The last character copy was from NA server on the morning of the day the PTS received the DB major update, which was the 25th April iirc.
