You don't get it. A CP cap increase is NOW a gear increase to. They need new mats, weapon sets, etc. Increasing CP cap is the same as adding more Vet ranks. Want VR20, how about CP 200?

1) ZoS forgot to tell new players there is a forum
2) this game has very few new players coming in.

Can you explain a bit how that works? I thought the extra points was just a small boost so people who had for example V16 but champion points below 160 could still equip Rank 160 gear.
I have a couple V1s as well as V3, V8, V10 and V16. If I'm at Champion Rank 460 or so when DB drops, are you sure I would get the extra 40 CP you mentioned?
ZOS has said that they are going to give out 2.5 cp for each vet rank on your highest level character when VR is removed (this is in addition to anything they will give you so that you can continue to wear the same gear). It appears to be a little bonus for all the people convinced that they are losing something when VR is removed (I've never heard of any other explanation at least).

Is this the case for players who already were at max veteran level before the champion point system was introduced?

Anyone know if they will reward the bonus 40 CP even if you're already at or above cap? Like I recently said, I am presently at 734 CP...

I don't think that works they way you want tho. Increasing the cap doesn't make us stronger when we hit it.
It's just more points with greater diminished returns so that really doesn't fix anything unless it's raised 300-400 points.

I will never be able to spend them again if they don´t fundamentally change the system.Averya_Teira wrote: »60% of voters are 400+ wow. Explains a lot why the forums often seem to be very opposed to some of the changes the devs make. They make changes based on metrics we will never see.
Well forums users are probably not even 1% of the playerbase, so....
I know it's always like that in MMO's. I think it's maybe even worse here, as console players seem to be very rare here, but are quit a sizeable portion on the playerbase.
Console and PC players should never have been in the same CP "bracket" to begin with.

yeah, I am at 521 and I am on ps4. PC players had the game for a year and a half before console players could even log in for the first time, so most of them have a good bit more than me. I get frustrated that I get CP I can not use....I am sure some PC players are ready to explode from stacked up useless CPs. PC at least should have had an increase by now. I am still kind of frustrated that there is no CP cap increase with DB but I feel like it is a slap in the face to any PC players.
How do they plan to keep people around if there is no progression?

Or 3) Those of us that lurk around here all day are much more into the game than people who spend their time on facebook or reddit and as such we tend to have many more champion points than the average player.

4) Since ESO is a B2P now, all accounts are 'active'. So all the people that have stopped logging in may still be part of their data collection programs. How many people stopped playing after a few months that have no or very few CP's, but are still lowering the bell curve.
