Foward Momentum 8 sec immunity...

Seems really OP for two hander, you would think it wouldn't matter but this nukes using snares to get distance away from the target especially with dizzying swing spammers. Especially for the cost that removal and immunity being absolutely low and then completely nill when equipped with 5 pieces of light armor.

In contrast Shuffle lasts 3.5 seconds at maximum at 1000 more stamina and even Immovable that blocks hard CC and knock backs last 5 second 1500 more.

There is either an oversight to this or favoritism by the lead combat designer, because I can't see why they would change wrecking blow to only have empower and then give them an ability that removes roots and snares and then give it 8 second immunity with the cheapest cost to cast it.

    Meh.
For just about any 2H user in PvP rally will still be the choice to go simply because it provides a much needed burst heal you can get nowhere else.

It gets interesting, when you take magicka users into the equation however. 8 seconds of snare immunity seems quite potent for just about any magicka build, especially since they had no tool to do that for them so far. On the other hand a 2H is a very underwhelming weapon for magicka simply because you either sacrifice offense (compared to destro or DW) or defense (compared to S+B and restro), so this might make for some interesting build choices.

Look at what you give up for it, Rally is a fantastic morph for medium 2H users, where as this morph can become the "enabler" of heavy armor stamina builds, who can't spam roll dodge.

Also, this might see some use in melee magicka builds as well, making atleast some people shift away from the FOTM DW.

Why? With all those snares in cyro it will be extremely usefull. boneshield + vigor is an extremely strong combo for healing/protecting yourself. You can even combine this with a dodgeroll....

I thought about this aswell...lets see how it'll work in the end :)

    Forward Momentum:
Focus your strength to gain Major Brutality, increasing your weapon damage by 20%.
Also adds an immunity to snares and immobilizes for X seconds and heals you for X every 2 seconds

OP... this ability is like rapid maneuvers. You are not protected from hard CC. This ability will prevent lock down from Ambush or Bombard immobilizes. You are still going to get wrecked by Dizzying Swing or Fear.

Like many have said before this ability will not replace Rally. If anything its about time Rally got tweaked. I'm sick of stamina heals forced into rally.

I do like Forward Momentum for snare removal though. I may consider using it instead of rapid maneuvers now that the duration is nice. Since Shuffle is acting strangely (broken?..i dunno thats another thread), i'd rather use Forward Momentum. It's pretty damn cheap and rapids is expensive.

I don't want it nerfed I want to duration toned down to 5 seconds at the most. Snares are common in cyrodiil and we dealt with them normally with gap closers and expedition buffs.

This just seems really excessive and I don't want to simple think I am *** on a magicka DPS toon the moment I see a two hander because now they are immune and can break out of my ice staff roots.

How do you think a heavy armor stamina damage dealer is going to work, if he just gets spammed by bombard & talons & cripple etc...? You can't roll dodge much in heavy armor (which makes sense).

Also, 2H was significantly nerfed with the changes to Wrecking Blow, they're either going to deal 20% less damage or won't CC spam you anymore - and going Forward Momentum instead of Rally means they're going to be easier to kill as well.

Snares/immobilizes are incredibly strong at the moment, particularly against the heavy armor builds that can't simply roll dodge out of them. This is especially the case when you are playing against multiple enemies and they spam these roots at you.
You can't even turn to face your enemies while rooted, so all you can do is spam defensive skills and hope they get bored.

There needs to be counters to things. If Forward Momentum is the counter to root/immobilize spam for heavy armor users (at the cost of survivability), then so be it.

    This change is perfect.

I'm using a heavy armor stamina build on my sorcerer and Forward momentum is a crucial part of it. Now with 8 seconds of immunity, I'm gonna wreck faces harder :P

For some reason Rally is and will probably continue to be the popular morph, even with the duration buff. I run Forward Momentum as it is and will definitely stick with it (if I stick with stamina) because the ability to remove snares and immobilizes (plus short immunity) has always outweighed the need for a little burst heal. The 8-second duration might cause more people to pick it up, but who knows.
