Silver Leash Exploit (ZOS PLEASE READ!)

So with this patch there were some changes to Silver Leash and those changes make it so that getting into a keep without knocking down walls is a piece of cake. This is basically like the chains exploit from a long time ago, only you don't necessarily have to have another player there to help you.
My friend Troggy Trog showed me how he was able to get into a keep using it. VOD from my stream is below.

just like to add they really need to make non-keep owners from lasting long inside the keep else exploits like this work, if being inside the keep with no walls down happens you should be revealed and hit with every weakening buff in the game till you leave. including one that debuff that increases resources costs, do it to ulti, stam and magicka by 50%, follow this up with beefing up NPC damage of inner guards while walls all hold and people who exploit in will struggle to take the keep.
just thought i'd add it, wasn't noticed last time i mentioned it during TG testing :)

Nice post...I will say it was quite entertaining watching you both take the keep. Our guild was actually rooting for you when the DC ported in! I'm sure he was like..WTF is going on in here! Then we watched him port right back out..lol!

Is there an alternate solution to keep people from cheesing keeps? All of these fixes are ruining gap closers by adding tons of additional calculations for altitude and such that make the abilities misfire.

How about a strong increase to guard damage and detection on enemies inside an unflagged keep? There has to be some other way of fixing this that doesn't add more code to gap closers.

tried that countless times, even super debuffs on enemies in a keep that has not been breached, invis removal and lock on guards to boot :(

    Gina,

It would be really cool to make chains and leash actually pull people up/down from walls at same range as they work on the flat.

This adds an awesome extra dimension to pvp and really makes the game cooler and more fun.

Please please add this feature back in. It was such a shame to see this disappear.

I think for pvp it is a bit of a higher priority to make sure that the whole concept of 'sieging' doesn't get bypassed by npc hopping into the inner. Remember that (unless it has changed) silver leash is a full ranged gap closer, not a 22m one. This will make it extremely easy to break things.

The problem is that after a keep is taken, it shouldn't become a safe zone as soon as the wall is fixed. Stealthy gameplay is in the game for a reason.

But mass jumping into keeps definitely should not be allowed, and pulling people off of walls ends up being cheesed all the time too.

Silver leash being full range of going to invalidate all other gap closers in PvP, due to range buffs making those skills 38-42m. It really needs to have the same range as other gap closers

I am not a DK but i wish them to be able to jump into keeps easily, that brought some diversity into the boring sieging phases.

It needs to work like other gap closers as well..

As in...MAKE IT JUST A GAP CLOSER

The double tapping crap is annoying as hell.

The Issue is the range of gap closers close to keeps, yes ?

There is a passive that adds range to abilities close to keeps, yes ?

Am I the only one that sees a correlation there ?

going over the walls is an interesting dynamic... I've always thought there should be siege ladders and engines that could be used to get a cadre inside a keep without all the wall busting. It would be a strategic move to have a small group with ladders go over the opposite wall from the side being sieged. Stealthing once inside, and making the keep owner truly clear the keep should be a part of the gameplay.

Obviously the inner keep should be off limits.

When ever I've accidentally gone inside I've been pretty promptly murdered.

Make the inside of keep an insta death shield zone to other factions.
Going over the outer wall would exist but you would have to siege the inner to defeat the insta kill shield inside the inner.

Of course that might mess up those crafty nightblades that hide inside after everyone rushes off after a defense or cap. :D

Sadly because everyone is so obsessed about ruining good and fun mechanics. Zos will ueber nerf the silver leash before it hits live. Keeps should be made impossible to capture without the outer and inner wall/gates destroyed. That would allow people to have fun using fun abilities to leap onto walls and keeps to fight. This would then add a new playstyle (leaping onto buildings/keeps vertically) without the possibility to just claim the keeps if the walls are not down.

Leaping vertically on structures or down is fun!

I can actually still leap on any keep on my dk using propeller shield (adds 8m range to my 20+m abilities) or simply by remembering the few overlooked spots where it is possible but I never use that to try to cap a flag. We need some variation in fighting.

The current leash on PTS is awesome. It is available to everyone! Change the rules needed for how keeps/scrolls get captured instead of removing fun mechanics from the game.
