I just can't do it. Even in hindsight, knowing that there would only be a 72hr ban for it. It's just way too despicable to use something so obviously an exploit.

If I would have known about this exploit earlier, I would have literally called out of work to harvest nodes all day.

I haven't even used a survey in months. Tempting though it would have been, I wouldn't have done it anyway. I'd rather just play the game and not try to exploit my way to wealth. Getting enough gold to do what I want to do really isn't that tough anyway. I don't specifically grind for gold (except with my thief), it just happens over time.

I think it would be funny if they didn't lock you out for a ban, but put you in a cell with no equipment, no way to communicate to others, and a scroll was on the ground listing your supposed crime and who to contact via support to have it resolved if you think that you are innocent.

Khajiit exploited no survey at all.

Like all Exploits, I hear about them after they have been squashed. However, I don't think I would have done it if I had known about it. And, I certainly would not have bought the Banker to do so, no Pixels that make other Pixels shinier is worth $50.

Besides, I don't need to, I can outfit all my alts in Gold Tempered Gear as it stands now.

Interesting. You give me a thought. Forget the ill-gotten mats. ZOS should have taken their banker! That's what they were abusing! And it is so much easier to manage than mats which might have been moved, sold, etc.

Take their bankers away!!!!!!!

Really wish I had exploited it now. Realizing there really wasn't a punishment at all, other than a nice 3 day vacation from ESO. Now said exploiters are making millions of gold and walking away with hundreds of gold tempers.

When you complete crafting writs (except provisioning) you have a chance of getting a survey, which points you towards a place on the map where you can harvest a large amount of your crafting materials (except with clothing, where you have zero chance of getting leather).

The exploit involved refreshing these harvest nodes repeatedly for (effectively) unlimited crafting supplies.

Honestly i was expecting this to be a witch hunt thread, but really it seems a majority of people would have COUGHCOUGHcheatedCOUGH if they knew they wouldnt be permabanned and still keep the spoils.

No i didnt, i dont even do crafting writs. Too busy levelling and questing.
