Agree. I was all ready to buy it until I saw what it looked like. Kinda looks like a cheap knockoff of a lion. For the price didn't seem worth it so I passed.3 -

Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Totally irrelevant. ESO isnt about going over the top, flashy. ESO has its own style. I played Tera for years and I also got the lion mount you provided, yet I could still appreciate the one we got in ESO. I bought it and I enjoy it. ✭✭✭✭✭It's the same with all the senche mounts. They all use the exact same model as the tiger with different colours. If they were making them realistic the only two that should be identical are the leopard and the panther (and even then the panther could be a melanistic jaguar or cougar).
I suspect ZOS assumed the differences were subtle enough that most people wouldn't notice or care.

The problem with that is they specifically called it the Pride-King Lion, which implies that it's a dominant male. It's completely relevant. It's not about the art style, it's about the fact that the Tera team put in the effort to make their male lion look male. Not just a copy and paste of the lioness with a badly formed wig on.
But alas, if non-discerning customers keep rewarding mediocrity with their purchases, then all we'll ever get is mediocrity.

it would not even be server-side - but client-side - flexible parts which do not directly effect others are done on the client machine normally.0 -

Now these pictures are quite convincing - it is a young lion, while the lioness is an adult animal - this way it makes sense and it is actually well done by ZOS - the mount looks very much like that young lion in that picture.1 -

✭If the male lion was castrated, then mane growth would be prohibited. So one of the artists took the liberty of cutting the gonads off, thus hurting testosterone creation, thus a weaker mane.
