I have two master angler accounts. I have made and sold potions endlessly. I have bought roe endlessly. I'm talking 500-750 bought. I had an alt that went from 1-v16 who had an xp potion active every second of the way. I know what I'm talking about (Xbox at least)
I truly believe the nerf to roe was purposeful, and as a result everyone got the cake. That free xp for a week was great until you realize they're limiting the roe obtainable to drive more sales of the crown scrolls. It's only simple business logic, and it makes sense from a business stand point. As a consumer it's crap, but the nerf is obvious. If you can't see it you don't fish/buy roe/sell potions enough.
I'm sure many others have similar stories. Anyone agree?
Ps - I'm speaking of times WAY before wrothgar was glitched also, so I'm not referencing the time when roe was more abundant.
1. Less people fishing
2. More demand for roe
No, the guild stores make it obvious. The out put of roe has slowed tremendously.
679 fish filleted for 1 perfect roemy .9% chance to get roe went down to .6%. rng sucks. screw praying to the rng god, cause i personally think praying to anything but would net better results.

Particularly perfect roe.

Thank you. I love how people try and act as if it's beyond zos to nerf it. It benefits them to nerf it. Why? Because then less xp potions are for sale, and more people buy crown xp scrolls.
I'm not trying to act better than anyone else. But I do have two master angler accounts, both finished before Xmas. I have sold hundreds of roe. I have bought hundreds of roe. I have sold thousands of xp potions. I am in 5 of the largest guilds in the game with traders in the best spots. I have checked daily on prices to buy low and make potions to sell for a profit.
When thieves guild came out, they released the cake likely in response to their nerf. Doesn't that make sense?
The price has definitely risen from 7500-10k, to 12-15k. Many guilds have less or none at all. The price of potions have went from 2700-3000 to 3300-3500. If you play this game as much as me (8-10 hours daily, yes I'm a loser) and pay as close attention as I have, you can see that there has DEFINETLY been a reduction in the output of roe.
Again, my sorc took hundreds of potions. From level 1-v16. He spent every second with a potion in the sewers grinding. That's how many I had to just burn from buying nonstop. I sold enough potions so I could use them for free basically myself. Just another point in why/how I know so much about how much is readily available.
Xbox here, so I'm not speaking of pc

With cake week they went up to 7k on ps4 that was in mournhold EP. I was selling them at that price.
The only reasons to fish are for roe and a break from the countless problems plaguing tamriel. Because fish are utterly worthless. That's why I wish we could sell fillets to vendors for at least 1 gold. I fillet, then destroy the fillets.FortheloveofKrist wrote: »First of all, stop skinning stacks of fish. Plus, if you're fishing just for the Roe, you're doing it wrong. (No offense intended)

Not true for everyone. I fish cause it's relaxing. My wife asks me to turn on the sound if I'm fishing so she can hear the birds and water and ambience. Then the Roe is just icing. Perhaps you should adjust your expectations, cause these types of complaints always sound a little privilegey.

Even if the number 1 has come up 5 times in a row, the odds of it coming up again are exactly the same. We often think collectively (what are the odds of the number 1 coming up 6 times in a row?!?) but random generation does not work that way and does not care what came up last time or the time before that. Failure to understand that has cost a lot of people a lot of money at the gambling table as they believed the result HAD to be in their favor this time, after having lost several times in a row.
