Yep, rng friend. Had about the same luck as you last week. Guildie fished with me for about an hour or so. Her twenty fish netted two perfect roe. Rng is a cruel mistress.

Anyone who claims that perfect roe hasn't been nerfed with the thieves guild is clueless. Ever since its dropped on Xbox, roe that was 8-10k is now always 11-13k.

Potions have increased from 2700-3000 to 3300-3500

I have two master angler accounts. I have made and sold potions endlessly. I have bought roe endlessly. I'm talking 500-750 bought. I had an alt that went from 1-v16 who had an xp potion active every second of the way. I know what I'm talking about (Xbox at least)

I truly believe the nerf to roe was purposeful, and as a result everyone got the cake. That free xp for a week was great until you realize they're limiting the roe obtainable to drive more sales of the crown scrolls. It's only simple business logic, and it makes sense from a business stand point. As a consumer it's crap, but the nerf is obvious. If you can't see it you don't fish/buy roe/sell potions enough.

I'm sure many others have similar stories. Anyone agree?

Ps - I'm speaking of times WAY before wrothgar was glitched also, so I'm not referencing the time when roe was more abundant.

True RNG will cause a few very unfortunate individuals to have to fillet 1000+ fish just for one roe. It's the mathematical law of probability.

I went zero out of ~450 one day last week when I finally decided to fillet all the fish I'd been collecting and ignoring.

Last night I filleted another 35 fish that I had just caught and got 2 roe.

It's the "R" in "RNG"...

That, or fresh fish have a better chance...

I'm with ya on the Nerf, seen Roe selling 15k plus recently, and way less for sale, it's definitely rarer or everyone is busy on new content to fish!

I haven't gotten a single perfect roe since Thieves Guild update, about 500 to 600 fillets. I was getting about one every 100 on average. I got three in a row once before update. I am still hoping I get perfect roe again soon.

The high roe prices likely have nothing to do with a smaller supply -- It's likely due to the higher demand.

Roe prices jumped significantly due to the anniversary event with the cake. Everyone was grinding xp like mad while the cake was active, and stacking that with ambrosia. Prices just haven't gone back down yet.

I've noticed no difference in my Perfect Roe rates. They are just as randomly all over the place as they were before.

Just not a lucky day my friend. Call me superstitious, but If I don't get Perfect Roe in the first 100 fish I'll save the rest of my fish for another day and try again .

Either the double fish needs to be returned as a feature of the game, or the value of perfect roe needs to rise even higher. That much fishing just isn't worth most peoples time & the RNG on top of that just pours salt on an open wound.

679 fish filleted for 1 perfect roe my .9% chance to get roe went down to .6%. rng sucks. screw praying to the rng god, cause i personally think praying to anything but would net better results.
