Ad because of Razum-dar. Reaper's marsh and the khajiit. Reapers marsh is by far the best quest zone in the game excluding DLC (the only good one IMO). It was really sad when
I had to choose which one of the mane trainies I would sacrifice as a new host to the dark mane
. And the quest where I got to see what happens if the khajiit leaves the dominion was great too.

I couldn't agree more. The zombie quest line is so badass.

I wanted to serve the empire but since it's gone and the fact they put the imperials behind a paygate, i went with bretons in the convenant.
King Emeric got a lot of experience, both in econamy and war and proved himself as capable leader from his years of rule in wayrest. His faction tries to restore the fallen empire, i mean even their alliance armours are based on imperial designs of the second empire.
They also seem don't too bad since they plan to give the orcs their homeland back when the war is over.

In the meantime, the pact is close to be torn apart between the old hatred of dark elves and nord while the argonians are forced to ally with their former slave masters since they too far away from the glorious convenant which would threat them as equal.

In the ad you can see the influences of the high elves which sees themself as superior and TES 5 showed us to what they are capable off. Even their fellow elves, the bosmer are seen as inferior by many while the khajiit face a similiar as the argonians with slave masters in one factions ( many khajiit were slaves too ) while the right choice is too away from a geophraric standpoint.
Even their queen which tries her best and her people, is flawed in many ways. No experience, a clear disconnect between her and many leaders of her faction and even she thinks that altmer are the choosen race if you remember her orignal message, calling humans are infants.

Well, at the end it doesn't matter that much anyway. Molag bal's invasion is going to stay and no dragonborn anywhere to close the borders with oblivion. It's probaly Tiber Septim who will solve this and should arrive in like 200 years to unite all factions...except those dammit longears.

My main character that I spend the majority of my time on is in the Pact, but if we're talking storyline here it has to be the Covenant. A lot of it comes down to me really liking a lot of npcs in the Covenant, more so than the other two factions, which engaged me a lot more with what was going on. I loved the pirate heist, the storyline of Rivenspire, and learning more about Redguards in the Alik'r Desert which I think is visually one of the nicest zones to mention a few things.

The Dominion was great for High Elf lore, beautiful Auridon, and Razum-dar; but the 3 zones of Valenwood felt very repetitive to me. The Pact had a few cool npcs and despite the nostalgia factor of re-visiting Morrowind and Skyrim I couldn't really get into the storylines.

I am mostly playing dominion which i like but i do agree with you; likeable npcs in dc (dominion and pact also have a few) and the storyline of rivenspire is awesome, the one truly epic story in the game. Furthermore my AD main lives in Alikr desert as a hermit near goats head wayshrine (her sanguine goat made her do that)

Haha I usually base my characters in the Alik'r regardless of their alliance I love that zone! And yeah I mean both EP and AD had some cool npcs as well but I just found overall the Covenant had the most memorable characters and questlines for me. I would love it if some more of them had recurring roles, it was awesome how a bunch of DC characters turned up around Wrothgar.

Despite me being Daggerfall all the way, I enjoyed revisiting Skyrim and also really enjoyed the key role the tribunal played in the deshaan story. I found Aldmeri really boring and repetitive (all Valenwoods fault). But I enjoyed exploring High Rock a lot too.

    Duh, Daggerfall, stupid.

(lol, jk, but honestly I am kinda biased so.... Daggerfall ftw!)

Seriously though I picked Daggerfall because they seemed like their Politics were the most sensible and they wanted everyone to rule and live together as equals, Elves are all just full of themselves and want to lord over everyone else, and the Pact mainly just want their own independence from everyone else, not as much interested in living together and sharing power and respect like the Covenant.

I’ve played through AD and DC, but only the first couple of EP zones.

Personally I felt like the AD storyline felt the most tied together, with some of the same characters re-appearing more often, while the quests for each DC zone felt much more separate from eachother, though that isn’t to say they weren’t good. There were recurring characers in DC too, but they were more from the side-quests rather than being connected through the main storyline. I do feel like there were more characters I ‘connected’ with in the AD quests though, whereas in DC, I’d have to say I only really felt attached to the characters in the Rivenspire questline.

I was glad that I played through DC first, because there seems to be significantly more characters you run into there that also appear in Coldharbour, and it was fun knowing who they were.

Terrain-wise, my favorite zones are: Auridon, Grahtwood, Malabal Tor, Glenumbra, Stormhaven, Deshaan and Bleakrock. AD also has by far the most beautiful delves, more green plant-filled caves and interesting ruins as opposed to dismal mines and bare rocky caves. So AD wins there too.

I have to say that I felt like Ayeren would be the best out of the three faction leaders, however… given that she’s not a typical Altmer, I don’t think I would actually want them in charge, and thus would probably rather see Emeric win concerning Cyrodil.

(Gotta love how the poll colors are scrambled, it’s confusing me to see my Dominion vote in Blue)

Begrudgingly, I'd have to say the Dominion. They have the prettiest environments, the Khajiit (which are my favorite people), and the Alliance questline has some pretty epic moments. I mean seriously, there's a naval battle at sea between two ships and a giant serpent. After playing through the Pact and Covenant zones this one moment in the Dominion out of a few just wowed me.

Daggerfall, for really shallow reasons. The DC areas are easy to navigate with fairly open maps and nice clean fields. Ebonheart isn't too bad, except for the marsh map (with all the Argonian ziggurats-can't remember the name right now but the main city is Stormhold).

Aldmeri Domininon is absolutely the worst. Cliffs everywhere that make you run across half the map just to get up them, and roots and rocks strewn all over the place that my hero character seems to be completely befuddled by. "Oh help me someone! I can't get over this stump to kill those 3 spiders!"

Besides being an elf in disguise and preferring the Dominion, there is Raz, let's not forget Raz, and I'm in tune with Ayrenn.

On the other hand, I can't tell you how much I dislike everything about the Covenant. It wasn't until I got to Stormhaven that I began to get into the groove with the quests but I still dislike/distrust them and want to help the Dominion when I run across them. Let's not even get into what they were doing in Bal Foyen.

As for the Pact, setting aside the Nords who are pigs, I am ambivalent about the Pact. I love the Morrowind settings but the ashfall bugs me because that was my least favorite part of Morrowind. In fact the landscapes are not really conducive for getting around in easily. Other than that I still put the pact second.

I love Altmer and Khajiit, I love the Summerset Isles and want to see more, I really really want to see Elsweyr, and assume it'll be added at some point way down the line.
The Queen is Kate Beckinsale, which counts for almost all my opinion, plus the fact that in-game she's badass and awesome.
The quests are fun and pretty varied/storyline through the zones are interesting.

Did I mention Kate Beckinsale? (although to be fair, Bill Nighy is just as awesome)

The one pretty big thing I dislike about it are the Wood Elves, and mostly Elden Root; the capital. Hate the hippy tree elves. With a passion

    My opinion:

    1. Dominion has Auridon which is probably the most beautiful location. However the main quest is revolving around their own drama and it seems like Molag Bal is not trying to capture Nirn. Their leader has nice voice and Razum-dar is pretty sweet.

    2. When you play Pact you really really feel some nostalgia, because it takes you back to Skyrim and Morrowind. You do have to deal with dunmer slavers and all that. Naryu is an interesting character (you meet her in a couple of zones), but again quest is barely related to what's going on in the world.

    3. Covenant has the best characters - if you start in Stros M'Kai you'll meet Jakarn, Captain Lerissa, Nicolene and you'll meet them later. Then in Glenumbra you'll meet Skordo, Darien and Gabrielle, who will appear in other zones as well. The leader seems to be the most interesting and charismatic. Plot is related to daedra's invasion. A lot of side-quests are about that too. Besides you get to play in a desert and it's done really cool.

I vote Covenant. I enjoyed their quests and characters more.

p.s. all the perfectionists cringe when they read this topic. You need to change the order so that Pact has red color, Covenant - blue, Dominion - yellow. lol

It really sucks balls that he dies in the collapse of the Planar Vortex. But I mean Hell, he'd been dreaming about his death all his life. Not to mention a few other characters that don't make it out, like the Vanos siblings.

My view might be a bit distorted, as half of my characters in DC are foreigners and all of my characters in the other alliances. The fact that I have 6 characters in DC might show, that I like to be there, I think it is the most tolerant alliance territory, even under normal circumstances it would not be the most peaceful one.

As an argonian in AD, I feel the hate towards my race and the elves are as well very intolerant towards their allies the khajiit. So screw those native elves, I do not like them - even I have an altmer in DC and a bosmer in EP. They emigrated because they did not like this intolerant behavior.

As a bosmer in EP I kinda like the natives there. They are sometimes rough, but always straight forward and I do not feel hated there. But there is a fair amount of dislike for their allies, the dunmer, I heard more insulting comments on dunmers than towards my race in EP.

Well, that is my experience with those alliances - I have not seen that many quests yet, so I cannot comment on this and refrained from voting.

I have played all of DC, almost all of AD, and the first few zones of EP.

As of this moment, I prefer the beauty of the terrain in the AD as well as the strong and very well intertwined story. I have felt much more 'connected' to the events in this story line and have enjoyed some of the more mystical and emotional elements of it. I will say, however, that culturally the Bosmer are perhaps the most disturbing race. Some of the requirements of the Green Pact are... creepy.

Other than Raz, who is absolutely fantastic, some of the most interesting personalities appeared in the DC story.

EP... well, I just haven't spent enough time with it yet. Soon though. It's Gold after my AD silver. My EP toons are too unplayed to have given me enough of a taste of it to know for sure.
