no dude. sypher got banned for account sharing and then unbanned because he did alot of stuff for the community. while other players got banned for life.

No for my treasure maps, I digged some chests recently and they worked as intended.

As for the ban, I don't think it will happen to anyone, since this isn't so serious wrongdoing that needs potential customers be kicked permanently. The exploited mats should be taken from their accounts and if they already gained some profit from selling these, well I'm sure devs know better what to do in such case. Imho such exploits are the game flaws so the developers are here to be blamed not players.

And this is it in a nutshell. If a MMO's economy crashes, then the game dies. This was an economy destroying exploit. The calls to have exploiters bank accounts stripped along with any other punishment is totally on point. Their ill gotten gains, both monetary and materials, must be removed from the game in order to protect the economy. The exploiters need to be removed from the game in order to restore the rest of the player's faith in the system.

Letting this exploit continue any longer could quite possibly have been an extinction level event for the game.

There is a reason why it's called HOTFIX. Maybe they discovered some other exploits and fix them too. I think they are doing right.

And tbh the exploiters are really bad noob beginners - flooded market with cheap mats, farmed day and night ... omg did they believe no one would report this? Really stupid.

IF ZOS claims they will take action do they also plan to refund all the banker sales that occurred on account of this exploit? In my mind if they punish those who used the exploit they shouldn't also allow for themselves to incur monetary gain from the abuse of the exploit. For all intensive purposes ZOS basically advertised the exploit before the hotix which was completely not needed and in effect also made no mention of any repercussions in effect a great marketing tactic for a 5000 crown purchase. I did not have a single survey so did not partake in the fun myself so I have no personal vest in this post just simply making a point. Food for thought.

Im a bit sad if it's being exploited so badly and the outcome is so horrific to the economy that they need to bring the server down at prime time. doesn't that say something about how bad the drop rate is, of legendary mats. How much people don't enjoy doing writs all the time or to the extent necessary to earn end game mats. and how the price currently on the market is soo high that perhaps the balance to effort and reward ratio is not favoured by the player base.

Doesn't it indicate the whole system itself is flawed if such drastic action is required? I don't know just seems a serious reaction. Perhaps it's time to consider other methods of earning gold items. So such exploitations don't appeal so greatly to so many as to make it a critical must react situation.

No they shouldnt. Refund people who paid for something to cheat with?

Ive read some nonsense on here today but you sir win hands down.

You've read some stupid stuff on here today huh. And you're ok with a company who created a situation where players can cheat but in order to do so they must pay that company money (whether this was done purposely or accidentally is irrelevant because it was done none the less). Then you're ok with that same company punishing the players that paid them to use the cheat they created (again accident or on purpose is irrelevant) but keeping all the money generated by the situation they created and additionally promoted hours before the fix? I've heard some trolly and dumb responses to reasonable posts but you sir take the cake.

Bug/Exploit abusers should also get banned, at least for a while!

It took about 2 hours for the PC server to get its maintenance done.

With any luck it will take about the same amount of time with the consoles too!
