Please increase CP cap. We all want to advance our characters!

Not increasing the CP cap is human excrement. We all play the game to advance our characters and get better. The catch up mechanic has worked. When it was introduced I was at 130 CP now i'm over 500. It's complete crap that another DLC is happening without a CP increase.

Either increase the cap and just give everyone below x CP (could be 500) 500 CP - who cares but holding everyone else back is really bad logic and design. Once again extremely disappointed in ZOS development plan especially since you mention on several occasions DB would be bringing a CP increase.

No mate you will not advance your character, because someone who logs in game once a week to do wayrest sewers with random people has not reached the cap yet. And ZoS wants more percentage of playerbase be at cap.

Raising the CP cap would be bad for the game. People are already really powerful now and can create infinite sustain builds with massive amounts of damage. We don't need to make this worse then it already is.

So if I worked real hard to achieve that build... That's unfair?

Unfortunately the situation isn't going to get any better, because after this update there is a massive 70% reduction in xp for people who like to spend their play time taking alts through Cadwells Silver/Gold zones, compared to those who prefer to grind in scaled zones - so if a quester on an alt and a grinder both spend 30 hours in game per week, the quester/altoholic will only earn 30% of the combat xp as the grinder, even if they were performing kills at the same rate per hour.

So the gap will widen, and depending upon activities some people will take much longer to reach the CP cap than at present.

(I am personally not in favor of the cap, if Zeni wants the gap not too large they should have a better catch-up mechanism rather than hold people back, I hate it that my character advancement is effectively stalled and that my CP gain - even if I can't yet spend them - is going to be reduced drastically because I like to quest on alts.)

Youre still gaining CP you just cant use them yet. Why dont u want new players to be able to catch up to the players with like 800cp? Its not fair that im never going to be able to catch up to you at 205 cp even if i played just as much as you. It takes way too long to catch up in any other MMO its possible to catch up in a month or two, in ESO it will probably take me a year to catch up to your 800cp. Thats simply too long

Clicking 17 times for each constellation color isn't progression. They'll raise the cap, but there is literally no need for it right now.

Why should you be able to catch-up in a couple months to someone who played hard for a year before you picked up the game? It's already been made very easy to catch-up, but with no progress to be had for those who are capped, I wonder why I still play. If DB doesn't rock, and I can't use my CP, time to move on.

I have close to 700 cp. Do i care that they aren't raising it? Not one bit, i can face roll everything in game except vMoL with 501.

People complain already that 99% of the game is face roll, so they will QQ more if they have more cp.

Im one of ZOS biggest critics, but man, they can't even do wrong for doing right on this matter.

Most of us at cap have already applied cp into the best places that give us sustain and damage.
Now we would like to advance by putting some cp into the more fun or frivolous places.
I have a life, woman and a job by the way what was your point?

I honestly kind of like where the cap is right now. The higher it gets, the more dull and boring combat gets imo. Too many inflated stats means little weakness to play around. CP makes the game easy mode. :(

I'm well past the current cap btw.

Meaningless Vertical Progression is NOT character advancement. So you get a few more points, The ZOS raises the difficulty on the mobs to compensate.

    What exactly has changed?

Nothing. You just "feel" like you have advanced but in reality you are on a treadmill.

That's fine, then you don't expect your characters to be as much strong as those who has no wife no kid no life but has 3000 CPs. I think that's fair, right.

I don't. I'm not fighting for either side, but there is still plenty other things to do in the game and devote that time to.

^ This. For people who CP is broken +60 cap +20 in each color isn't going to change a hill of beans but it's something for putting in the time and effort.

If ZOS wants more to be at the cap then just increase everyone to 501 increase the cap and move on.

You obviously come from a non competitive environment.
Name one sport or competitive esport were more time played give better equipment or another kind of advantage thats not based on actual skill. I guess you are the kind of person want all advantages handed to you. Do you really believe more cp equals more skill?

If by advantages being handed to me you mean spending a lot of time in game EARNING champion points, then I don't know quite how to respond to that... They aren't awarded by magic out of thin air, I didn't somehow receive a pack of CP for no effort...

Lets keep personal attacks out of it. So you are saying NFL player A who works hard, studies, hits the gym every day (grinds CP) is going to be the same as NFL player B who has the same talent and drinks and parties? Not sure what competitive environment you are referring to.

    You didnt answer my question...
Name one competitive sport or esport were more time invested gives you any other advantage than the actual experience of how to execute the skillsets needed to win.
Now if you talk about pve I couldnt care less.
Hitting scripted mobs is so hard lol.
What im talking about is competitive pvp or an arena environment. If you need any other advantage than better reactions, more knowledge etc youre a scrub.
