Old Vet 4 not getting skillpoints and attribute points from removed V5-V16

My low level alt, V4, is not receiving the extra attribute points or skill points from the removal of all vet ranks above V4.

I've earned xp and not gotten any. And I need 4m xp to earn a champion point, so I can't find out that way...

Fairly positive this only applies once the update is on the Live megaservers, but we'll double check to make sure.

Same here on my V12. But she did have champion points reset on login (while my V16 did not).

So we shouldn't test this or future patch update?
That comment is confusing cause it suggests that the removal of VR basically isn't working until we get to live

Also, does the "one-time bonus of 2.5 Champion Points per Veteran Rank gained on your highest level character when you first log in" only apply to when DB hits the live server? I noticed I didn't receive an extra 40 cps for having a vr16 character. The patch note does say "when you first log in when Dark Brotherhood is released!" -- however, I wasn't sure if it was referring to being released on PTS or live.

Other than the issue with characters who were veteran 1-15 ranked on live not receiving any retroactive attribute or skills points equivalent to what a vr16 would have had, or a player who creates a brand new character after DB and earns them while leveling up to 50, I really like what I've seen of the new update; however, I haven't explored it as much as I wanted, as I switched back to live to continue leveling my mid-level vet toons to ensure that I would receive the right amount of attribute/skill points once DB hits live. I'm sure this is a concern that many people probably have, and definitive clarification on whether or not these characters will be equal to the old vr16, or new characters leveling to 50, would be much appreciated. I really don't want to continue to level these characters if it's not absolutely needed, as my time would be much better spent exploring the PTS. Thanks for your hard work on the new update, it does look awesome!

Odd, only some of my VR's had their CP reset :S

It's probably a database update which is not attached to the game code in any way.

What was interesting to me was my V4 had a skill reset as well as champion point reset and my V16 had neither. BTW, I prefer the skills and CP resets, but can you make it on all characters?

@ZOS_GinaBruno You guys really should try to get this into a PTS update... y'know, to test that it actually works...

I too had lowbies missing ability and skill points, and did not receive the bonus CP for my v16s.

I echo this concern, as this needs to be tested on the PTS, not praying for a fix to make it in before the live build is cutoff. I'll cite Wrothgar's guild bank glitch as an example of a db update fix that was promised, didn't get thoroughly tested, and broke when live. That prompted an emergency update that occurred weeks later. We need to test updates like this before they get to be live problems.

For attributes, try what I did. Visit a shrine and refund all attributes. I gained the one attribute my "VR15" was missing by doing this.

I can confirm that this does work. I just went to the shrines with a character that was "v1" prior to DB, and upon using them I gained 15 attribute and skill points. I would like to point out that the shrines charged me as if I had spent those new/missing attribute and skill points beforehand. For example, my character had all 49 attribute points allocated, but it cost 3200 gold to respec (instead of 2450 gold), as if I had 64 attribute points spent already. Similarly, when I went to go respec my skills, it cost an extra 750 gold than it should have, as it treated the missing 15 skill points as spent. Yes, everything works out in the end; however, we shouldn't have to pay for respecs to gain these missing attribute/skill points.

This would be a perfect situation to give everyone a free respec. Not a forced one, which nobody really wants, just a free respec scroll in the mail would be fine.

Then they should not list it in the patch notes. Patch notes should only list things that have actually changed, not things that have not been changed.

But more importantly, the people above saying that it needs testing are right.

As for paying gold for a respec, I tested it and found out that the respec scrolls provide the extra points. Given everything in the store is so cheap on PTS and we get a ton of Crowns I would advise using them not the shrines.

This is a really big change to wait and test on the live server. I don't like that at all.

Also why are champion points being automatically reset on some of my characters and not others?
