Ugh. Why change something that was perfectly fine before?

Because the old default health bar was not perfect?

This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

The first time I saw those bars, they remind me an arcade game from 80s lol. How do you turn them off?

I love the new healthbars. I never could get used to the ones introduced with IC/orsinium? I liked them before the first change. Hate(d) their current life version.

I do understand people wanting an option for simpler ones though.

I like it, just what i needed for small-scale fights, could be bad for zergs tho. Bars in IC release were small and almost invisible.

ZOS fix this health bar issue. Some things are best left alone.

Problem is folks we can all provide our comments about this idiotic change to the health bars but they will not listen. Some ZOS brain child dreamed this one up like so many other idiotic things they have done to this game.

Orsinium or IC (not sure which one) introduced new "slimmer" health bars on top of NPCs that barely visible on low HP targets in dark/shady areas. They about halved the width of the red HP bar, reduced width of black border and on top of that added a fading/see through effect on interfering with other UI elements.

Was one of the major offsets for me as it quite frequently happened i would not finish off really low HP targets as i simply would not notice them bc the HP bar wasn´t noticeable enough.

They were made thinner, I liked that. On the left is pre-IC, on the right post-Orsinium (couldn't find any screenshot from between those updates with health bars)

Thinner and have a see through effect (which makes them almost invisible) on non focused low HP targets.

I really dislike the current live version and like the pre IC version. I guess it would be nice to give people options to choose from.

Yeah, hopefully PC AddOns will override these obnoxiously sized ones.

Ah cool, thanks for that. I guess I never paid that much attention to the difference. Out of the three, the current PTS ones I think are definitely the worst; personally, I like the thinness of the current Live ones and the boldness of the pre-IC ones. The current PTS ones are too big and intrusive overall, and the large yellowy border is the worst part - it's unnecessary, and makes them even bigger than they need to be.

I usually use FTC add-on that changes the view of my healthbar and makes it 'bulkier' than the unmodded version, but this is too much even for my taste.

It looks especially bad on trash animal mobs in the wild. For something that dies within 3 seconds, that enormous healthbar is just too much :)

V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

Seems like ZOS trying to reveal people who uses terrain and green to zergs. GJ ZOS, this oversized health bars will not give any chance to such people, what about also make 'zerg ruler' mechanics where people agrees to give full control of character abilities to group leader, that zerg will also kill anyone just by 24 executes oneshot.
