I dont get it. What's so important about getting character slots before anyone else??
Just because I sub doesnt mean I should get anything before those who dont sub.
That's kinda selfish and has no point to it.
Well ideally that would be the point.
In order to incentivize players into paying for a sub, while at the same time giving them no advantages that make them far superior people who do not sub, the incentives must be something the sub players want---but ultimately can be achieved by non-sub players within a reasonable time frame.

Early access falls into this category. The only thing denied to non-sub players is a certain amount of play time, and can achieved by them if they are only willing to wait it out (oh the horror). This contrasts with games that give their subscription players superior weapons/armor, better RNG rates and overall supremely more powerful characters because they pay subscription.

So things like early access is actually rather ideal. It gives them a quirk, but it ultimately does not harm/deny non subscription players.

The reason I think char slots are different is they don't give out anything new or delay others.

If we got dlc early we would have quicker access to farm mats, poisons, setS which impact play, competitive play.

This does not do that. No appreciable diff btwn me having 8 or 9 as far as it impacting others.

It's fine with me.I have no problem with it.I was just saying that there would be a huge stink about it here and everyone in the forums would have to put up with it.The OP agrees with me.

I thought I was the OP.

Why,yes,..yes you are.And didnt we agree? XD
(my only excuse is that I have been up all night literally, and can barely keep my eyes open.)

    There, I agreed.

Really the diff is I can't fathom there being time for MORE outrage. It would just give them different outrages to post about but I am pretty sure they reached outrage-sat ration at 4pm Monday.

Hehehe.I know, right? It's just so very sad that this is happening, because it further separates the community.Which is already separated by a vast gaping chasm. The great PvP vs PvE chasm.
The viciousness gains momentum with each new thing, whether it's the bags,or a change in vet ranks and champion points.

I subbed to TERA so I could TP around the map easier. Drop TP fees for ESO+ members? It's a relatively harmless perk since you can TP to Friends/ Guild Members for free already.

Either way, OP, I like the idea. I can understand why it won't happen, but I like the idea nonetheless.

DUDE just hit L use wayshire to get back to any pve zone FREE

    Once before $$$ Cool-down.

Works every time no $$$ hit L enter into pvp walk to wayshire then select any other wayshire to move too

    Ive used this since Beta

    Subscriber Perk = Convenience

Convenience ≠ Queuing for PvP, TPing into Cyrodiil, running to Wayshrine and then TPing to the desired Wayshrine in PvE Land.

See where I'm going with this?

If you're willing to do that and having been doing it since Beta, why not Travel To Player from Friends list or Guild Roster? At least you'll be in the proper Zone. From there you can TP to whatever Shrine you want, and since you're in the same area, there will be no loading time.

?? Porting to Guildie is great if one is in that area but takes no time to pop into a pvp zone ( guest server never full) and port to a wayshire anywhere. It take longer Type in Guild chat or Use Team speak to get a guildie to pop into said zone.

Its easy, its there and its for everyone to use and no Coin needed

You have access to 5 Guilds, with a maximum of 500 people per Guild (best case, I understand) and nobody is online in either of the 18-ish "real" zones? What Guilds are you in??

And by detailing all of these workarounds, you're only further illustrating my point.

Would someone being able to simply press "M", navigate to the Zone of choice, selecting a Wayshrine, and TPing to it be that much of a "game breaking" Subscriber (remember, Convenience) perk?

I don't think it would. I'd use the hell out of it. Even though the current "scan my Guild Rosters / Friends List really fast" method works 99.9% of the time.

I would never TP into a Zone (Cyrodiil, which is known for taking ages due to "ESO reasons" anyway) only to manually run to a Wayshrine, and then Zone again.

Your making it Ugly, Its in game already to port for free. Most players like myself Dont rely/depend or Bug a guildie for something I can do as its in the game and many other players can do for themselves. ( go to low pop server whish atm is all but 1) and pop right in

How much more simplified do you want the game?

You can look at it any way you want. I don't know where you get "bug a Guildie" from. They aren't aware your TPing to them. Only requesting someone to go somewhere they aren't currently would be "bugging" them. I never listed that as a step in this process.

How much more simplified do I want it? I guess in this instance, just a little?

I don't know why you're taking your stance so personally. That's for you to figure out.

@Volkodav An incentive for paying for the game monthly :)) That's just my thoughts in it. I don't think anyone will be at a great disadvantage besides being late to the party.

It does sound selfish but if you compare it to the other games' models like SWTOR's subscription, I don't think it's really a very big deal :))

Yeah, but the furor it would create among the forum members would go through the roof! XD
Whenever us subbers are given anything, much less given it early, the forums just go insane.

I think its rediculous how people who make no financial commitment to the game would have such a sense of entitlement to expect they should get everything that subscribers do. Sure.. you 'could' buy some crowns or a dlc to return something to the business providing a service but there is no garuntee and they are under no obligation to.

I dont have a problem that they get a free game. But dont expect the same perks or services that paying customers recieve. I dont see how early access to things like purchasable additional character slots is a huge deal. Yet for people that have been waiting for years and subscribing it is a small reward to not wait so long for something that is clearly ready.

Just to let you know,I'm a subber, and I bought the game before it came out,.I've also been in the forums for 2 years,as well.During that time I have seen that if you give anything to anyone and only some people get it,whether it is subbers,PvP,or PvE,..those that didnt get it will go nutz and post their ire here.
As to "guarantees" or "obligations",I'm not sure what you mean there.
Early access to more character slot allotment isnt a big deal to me either. However,it is to many people who have,as you say, waited so long for it.And if they allow anyone,..anyone,..early access, those who have waited that long will feel quite slighted, and they would have every right to feel that way,..in my humble opinion.

    No thanks.

I don't pay my sub fee to beta test the content for the free players.
