A gap closer could be fun and in line with vampire lore, but for the game balance it may be problematic. And as a lot of people says, it will look very close to the NB's one.
Instead of a gap closer, a grab may be fun. We aren't bloodfiend without any identity, most of us are more or less master vampire, who bring their food to them directly.

A fear is a very good idea. But not an aoe no-targetted fear like NB's one. Drain apply a "fear" like effect, but drain is also garbage in nearly every situation : channel, poor damage, laughable heal, only the control is good with timed abilities (meteor/swarm, dots, proxy det…). Make drain better, boost the damage and/or heal (one morph for each?), apply a zone fear if the target die while being drained, and you'll have your good fear without any copy.

The pet is a very good idea. A pet like shadow image or inferno, or even a pet like Sorc's one, but with a permanent effect when summoned, a timer and no need to have it in two bar. It's lore friendly, not a real copy, good for hunt leader and necropotence set, and can be really good in a dps, healer or tank rotation, depending of the pet's ability.

I would like a stamina morph for mist form, and a great boost of damage for poisoned mist.

And last but not least, I WANT a ice attack for vampire. Why not a self centered dot aoe, an ice aura ? It also can have a poison stamina morph.
Ice, for a lot of vampires, is a natural element. Poison too, for some vampires. Both of them are pretty rare in ESO, so it's even better to add them. And it will give nord a tiny boost to their passive :troll:

Instead of a gap closer, why not have the bat teleport thing from Skyrim? You'd click the ability and charge forward in a bat cloud much akin to Streak/Bolt Escape.

Vampire fear could be single target skill, that way it's not just copy of NB fear. You know, sneaky vamp revealing it's true horrific self to it's victim via dreadful gaze.

And blink ability could be for emergency escape, like Bolt Escape that would teleport you backwards. You might get out of trouble with it or not, but again it would not be straight copy of existing class skill.

As for third ability, I would like it to be some direct damage skill over a pet skill.

Actually if you use Drain and animation cancel it the stun still stays. You basically already have the single-target fear effect if you were so inclined to use it.

Actually it's the fact that your build is apparently centered around stacking as much magicka as possible, yet you run 7 Light Armor which loses you 4% max magicka by not using 1 medium 1 heavy. All Infused is useless as you gain a very minuscule amount of magicka from it and something like 3 Infused, 4 Divines would be better statisitcally.

That is totally fair. I do not have the undaunted passives unlocked because I don't run dungeons barely ever. I apologize for my smarmy response.

I think they could make the game a classless system, but they would have to change the attributes system in order to balance everything.
They would have to make it five or six attributes. '
    Strength, willpower, intelligence, agility,health.
Strength increases weapons damage and stamina abilty damage, agility increases stamina regen and stamina
willpower improves magicka damage, and intelligence increases magicka regen and magicka, Health improves health regen and health.

They would have to do this in order to balance the game.
The attributes system is the main reason why they fail at balancing. They need to change it so it can be balanced.

GW2 has a potion that changes you into a flock of bats, it stays like that til you turn it off, it's just cosmetic but I would love that here.

I would also like a quest line to turn Vamps and WWs into hybrids.

My view Oh God NO -- I remember in PvP where everyone had to be a Vampire to have any chance. Every battle was filled with bat swarms being spammed over and over as the ultimate responded quicker than the bat swarm ended. I never want to go back to the stage where everyone must be a vampire to compete.

They use prox and vd because they want to target more then one person I think. ZOS said they're re-working toppling charge to be more like a teleport since the game has issues with pathing to your target.

Maybe then, if it works, Templars will have a gap closer. I rage every time I *try* to gap close someone only to have him bug-out and go nowhere. So many have gotten away...

You must be new cause for the first year all Nightblade powers were broken or the tool tip was completely wrong. Now I have new problem if this teleport was for Templars only whatever it take to fix that bug two years later is okay but one for Vampires and changing weapons to teleports hell no.

I'm talking on non class gap closer like a stun that longer based on distance and the other dealing more damage based on distance that always crits. Let's review Ambush the buff to your next attack was changed to 20% from 36%. The stun was changed to NPCs only it has a root but all gap closers have that.

If I can teleport to my target with an instant cast that either deals more damage from range and crits 100% of the time, have a knock down stun that's longer from range or the one that deals a little more damage. All ignoring terrain, this will kill a class gap closer.

Gap Closer: frankly, this is a lore friendly cosmetic option since every class has access to a gap closer if they pick up a 2 handed weapon; adding another one with a vampy animation is a great idea, I really don't see any logic to the argument against it.

Stage Timer Change: This is a quality of life change pure and simple. The current stage timers are much too fast. The current timers would require us to have a hummingbird's metabolic rate. More to the point, a vampire that fed that often would either be caught or would depopulate the continent in a short time. I really wish the stages had something going for them besides cosmetics and cost reduction. I think fire damage and fighter's guild damage should scale up by stage along with regeneration rates. That way, in stage 4 you are looking at a real trade off for the reduced cost and better regen.

Cosmetic Changes: There has to be and should have been all along some way for player vampires to look mortal. The words of our creator (lore) demand it. Logic demands it, since we are in a world wide war against the progenitor of all types of vampires. Player Character Vampires are clearly undead at all times and stages, this would logically require that we never have any social interaction in the game world outside of other vampires and criminal elements, because we would be attacked on sight in every other context. This was OK in Morrowind but not in an MMO. I don't care how it's done. A skin, a costume, a change to stage 1 appearance, an illusion spell, a toggle would all work. My ideal is a spell, skin, or costume that gives the illusion of mortality but that illusion breaks in combat.

Fear/charm: I can see the argument against there being another NB fear in the game, that skill is kinda cheese and this is coming from a nightblade. I'd like there to be a charm ability that permits us to feed without having to kill the target. I'd be comfortable with a skill that reduces threat level or outright forces the target to attack something else, in PVP it could be some sort of debuff since another hard CC isn't really desirable. I guess if it caused a targeted single victim to cower in fear rather than run and it was cc breakable it might be OK. Another Idea: give each Fighter's guild ability slotted a 15% chance to have the Vampire fear skill fail.

Pets: Yes, please. I think a wolf initially, with the morphs being a Volkihar style Deathhound that does higher damage and snares and a bloodfiend that does moderate damage and heals the caster for some amount.

Fangs/emotes: Should be part of a finished product where vampires are concerned, they didn't forget to give werewolves claws or tails or a roar animation did they?

Finish the dang skill line: Currently there are not any skills in the Vampire skill line that are worth slotting even for the 10% regeneration buff. This needs to be changed in the Dark Brotherhood update. Mist is useless, drain serves no purpose besides being the go to leveling skill until we get Swarm, and swarm... well even at stage 4 there are better, cheaper ultimates. The slotting requirement needs to go or we need to void our weaknesses if no vampire skill is slotted. I have to be vulnerable to fighters guild abilities at all times and fire at all times but I have to slot one of only three skills that's been nerfed into the ground to get a lousy 10% regen passive, ridiculous. Please finish the skill line.

    One last
That feed animation: By the 8, that looks terrible. Let us actually bite our victims, this silly garden hose from nowhere thing has got to go. It's lazy, sloppy, and kind of perverse. The volume alone would be fatal. Where is it actually coming from since the victim is unharmed when we're done with our blood shower?

Just cured my Vamp but will be looking for a bite if the revamping is worth it.

That pun deserves the loudest of groans.

Not to detract from your thoughts, I like your cosmetics suggestions, but I think this is more supportive of the current iteration of vamps that also adds some play style flavor.

Hopefully that's sarcasm. Most of us want lore appropriate vampires. We also want them to be more fun to play and more visually appealing than they currently are.
