I hope we get an official explanation soon as there's other things that I wonder about like skill points for every VR rank and VR areas.I am assuming the costume rewards for vet levels will remain and be triggered by CP levels eventually.
As far as how they plan on implementing, nobody knows anything for sure, but there are about 10 threads on here already discussing the possibilities.
Bolded part is false, based on what was previously said. He's how it was explained months ago when it first came up:Steel_Brightblade wrote: »Basically loyal players that have spent time with the game will get screwed twice. 1. Players at v16 but not at cap get 160 additional cp. Those at cap get them too but cannot use them so worthless.
In other words:ZOS_RichLambert wrote: »[*] We’re planning on giving 2.5 CP for every VR level you’ve earned on your highest level character. (40 for a VR16 character)
[*] When the conversion happens, any player with CP less than their old veteran rank * 10 will instead be given enough CP such that their total is VR * 10.
This part is ALSO false.Steel_Brightblade wrote: »2. Current v16 gear will be cp level 160, so those at cap need to craft look for all new replacement gear immediately as they will be substantially below level geared.

The highest level gear will be 160 for a while. They already said they don't play to release higher CP gear for "long time", so people with more than 160 CP aren't going to have to immediately create better gear, as there will be no better gear to create.

However, in all fairness, i have three VR16 and FIVE lowrr VRs and have been over cap for a while.
So I anticipate having five new VR16 equivalent gear capable characters when DB drops.
If I am the type of person that equates CAPABLE and GOTTA HAVE then I am looking at "needing" to be ready to craft/equip for my five upgraded chars.
Being pragmatic, I also wanna get prepped for that BEFORE it becomes more widespread knowledge and guild store prices adjust to inc demand.

I spent "Cake week" leveling alts toward level 50, knowing they would be max level when VR was removed, since I'm over 501 CP. That was the easy part. Gearing them is something else.
