Here is a quick video I did today of the brand new Pale Velothi Guar mount with all visual upgrades shown. I was super excited about this guar for a long time, and was thrilled when it came out today, purchased it immediately with the crowns I'd saved up for it

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the artists who worked on this mount, I love that the armour and other upgrades are slightly different to the other guar accessories! I love the colour of the body and eyes, and I love that the scales have a blue almost iridescent shine to them!

Very pleased with this mount over all, it is quite expensive at 2500 crowns, especially compared to the other guars, but definitely worth the price in my own opinion.

The guar all look too much alike. Same with the senche. Some fringes, horns... something. The recycled model with a new coat of paint is getting boring.

Yeh, sorry op, but you're probably alone on this.

They need to step their mount game up. Giving something a different colour isn't fooling anyone anymore. Everyone still rocks old mounts. Few people on a camel though.

Personally, I'm waiting on the Senche Lion Pridemaster Uber-Alpha Kitty (or whatever its called...). But I agree, a but of variation in the armors and or physicval stature of the mounts is long overdue.

Don't think I'm alone, saw quite a few people with it in-game already

But I do understand that not everyone will agree with the price and not everyone would even like the colour.

Love the color of this guar. Reminds me of that white guar quest in morrowind.

I usually don't bother with expensive/exclusive mounts but it's the perfect mount for my Dunmer, so I caved.

Yeah, I do agree they need to step up their game when it comes to mounts though, the same thing re-skinned a hundred times is lame. However, as I hadn't liked any of the previous guars and this one caught my eye, I got it.

You know what would make this mount more appealing? Having it be a reward for a quest that's reminiscent of the Morrowind quest during which you had to find a white guar.

I do remember seeing you asking for this for a long time as well. You still have a few days so maybe something will come up that will allow you to get it

Also as a side note: There is a bug with this guar. The speed and stamina visual upgrade toggles are inverted. So when you switch them on and off they control the opposite accessory. Submitted a bug report on it

I've seen quite a few people with this guar and it does actually look great in game, especially the iridescent effect on the skin. It's nice that they made the upgrades different too.

I do agree with others here though, that just re-texturing a model is a bit of a shame. Even something extremely simple like a watered down version of character creation, where you could change the shape/size/eye colour etc of crown store mounts/pets to customise them a little more would be nice to have, just so it doesn't seem so cookie cutter.

2500 crowns is actually the set price for all limited edition mounts, I found this out yesterday

Also its not just a simple recolour, its not just slapped on white. For a start, the scales have iridescent qualities, the guar is also slightly shorter than normal ones, but only by a really small amount. The armour, bags, and straps are shinier, and have black detailing rather than the plain boring brown that all other mounts have.

Its been fun lately when riding around and spotting someone else with the Pale Gaur, quite often the other person stops or goes crazy running round in circles with someone else who has the mount

Here's some screenshots I have of two different times I saw other people with the mount, and we hung out for a bit haha!
