Your favorite 1,2,3 combos in the game?

I just rolled a sorc and am having a ton of fun with this guy. Only level 20 so far.
I almost always play on my VR16 Templar and find only a few combos can be executed so smoothly. But dang, the combo on my new sorc is just smooth as butter!

Pop a rune, crystal frags, lightning,(rune explodes), crystal frags.

It's like the old Batman movie/comics.
Pow, smack, poof, slam!
lol

What's your favorite combos to use in this game?

And got any good ones for me to use with my sorc?

BTW, this is a PVE toon for now. Not worried about PVP yet.

PvE Sorcs don't really need "combos" - unless Overload - Overload - Overload counts

For PvP, on the other hand, I love Mages Wrath - Crystal Frag - Overload.

Something I like to do, mostly as an opener for a good head start, as a Templar is send a Dark Flare into the air, while it flies, throw out a lightning staff version of Destructive Reach (stun) and usually that combined with the hefty blow from the Dark Flare that usually hits right after they've been stunned will bring them within execute range for Radiant Oppression. (Dark Flare > Shock Reach > Radiant Oppression). Granted, that doesn't always happen in such a perfect and elegant manner but as I said, as an opener it can be very devastating.

Ah I see. I've been using DW/resto set up for so long that I definitely feel something is missing in my combo as a templar. I think I'll try that out with the desto.

I usually Dark flare, dark flare, vampires bane, topping charge/javelin, jab and then Dawnbreaker and/or Radiant .

But with that extra ranged stun from the desto, I could stay casting a little bit longer before I HAVE to get in there.

    Thanks.

Which works effectively on about 1% of the population. Hence why virtually every stam sorc ever wants a spammable class skill like SA.

I like this combo as a sourc. As you can see everything hit in the same second resulting in a less than 1 second insta kill.

A lot of people do really well using inivitable det, curse, mage's wrath, force pulse combo. But I prefer the no cast time of proxy det and can't seem to find room for mage's wrath on my skill bar.

    dVf7YpJ.png

As for Mage blade. I am all about the lotus fan, prox det, soul tether like all the other vicious death Mage blades. It has to be the most powerful OP 123 combo in the game with clever alchemist and vicious death. 4500+ spell power and guaranteed critical hits from steath.

Sorc: Open Velocious Curse, Hardcast frag, entropy, shooting star, proc frag. All damage should hit at almost the same instant. (open frag travel time + proc frag travel time is the full "reaction time" of the combo) Does anywhere from 30-50k damage instantly.

Nightblade (stam) - buff in stealth, start queuing heavy attack, ambush, release heavy, surprise attack, soul harvest, lightattack/bash, impale. usually kills anything in 1 or 2 seconds, but has a telegraph sound from the ambush that can thwart it if people know to listen for it.

Dragonknight: Hold block, alternate igneous shield and draw essence, hit prox det all the time, pop potions and bats alternately, wade through as many enemies as possible. Tag all the things, collect AP.

Templar. Spam BoL and Blazing spear, keep det active, wade through enemies, tag all the things, collect AP, drop novae, collect AP, hit repentance, hold more block.

The most difficult of these four to actually time correctly believe it or not, is the templar.

Here are a few I like:

    Basic:
Heavy attack from stealth > Blood Craze > roll dodge > Shadow Cloak > Surprise attack

    Less basic:
Heavy attack from stealth > (sometimes a Sap for major brutality>) Shadow Cloak > Surprise attack > bash> Blood Craze > Roll Dodge > Weapon swap > Poison Injection or snipe depending > Roll into Cloak, vigour if I need it, then repeat, or use another sequence.

I like to do these immediately after applying buffs and while weaving light attacks and/or bashes or the odd extra roll dodge if I need it and my stamina ain't too low using animation cancelling. Often I don't stick to this exact sequence, and I mix and match a lot depending on how the feel of the situation is, adaptation is key. My rotations are pretty complex sometimes, and I generally do them by "feel" so they do change a lot.

Usual combination of curse, heavy attack and insta-frags, but I like to use mages wrath just before they hit execute range then streak (or light attack) to take them into execute range, then watch them explode from the wrath proc. This only works on clueless players and mobs. For normal mobs in pve all you really need is to proc a frag with power surge, then fully charge a fire staff heavy attack, then hit the frags button. The heavy attack and frags travel through the air together and hit the enemy at the same time. At v16 this does up to 43k instant damage if both crit, but this combo should one-shot most mobs (with crits) whatever level you are, assuming you have decent gear.
