the problem I always had with vamp is the hassle of feeding, and the redundancy of 4 ranks, your either max vamp, or feed your way to base vamp.
I would like it if there was a readable static mechanic for going up and down that didn't use time, for instance, a sleep mechanic for raising level (use a bed and raise level) and then feeding to decrease level (as now) with no time mechanic.
that way you can control exactly what level you are at and for how long. done and done.
I'm hopeful that Vampire will make a comeback and be worth messing with again.
@wing There really isn't any reason to feed. You are stronger at stage 4 than stage 1. Which other than Skyrim I don't remember being the case in other TES games. You really should be stronger at stage 1 that way that mechanic actually plays a role. Also, increasing time of each stage transition to 3-4 hours would be enough. You shouldn't really be needing longer duration between stages.
I'd also like to see some of the old way some of the abilities worked put back in. I always felt after their second pass of "re-balancing" on vamps that they where gutted to the point that they where kinda a 1 trick pony. Bats and that's about it. Mist form lost a lot of it's potency when they removed the speed boost on it and immunity. It's not longer an escape more of an attempt to make your opponents die of laughter for using it.

I have no reason to slot any of the vamp skills, so saying that you are stronger at stage 4 is escaping me.
