A while ago my friends told me that appearance changes would come to the game, while race change would come to the crown store.

Honestly I would prefer both to be purchaseable for gold in the game, as daily quests or expensive ingame vendor + the crown store, this way both ZOS gets money and the game gets another goldsink which it desperately needs.

Yeah, it seems like an enormous effort to accomplish almost nothing. And to any new player vet ranks are confusing enough; no ranks will be even harder to grasp. When I was new to ESO I kept wondering why not just have more regular ranks?

Barber Shop will come and when it does, everyone will be happy the first day then after the hype has dead down some, people will be screaming at the Devs to bring something new out. Patience grasshopper. It will come soon enough, anyway, I'm holding out for player housing!!! yeah!! That is suppose to be out by the end of the year.

2 years in, we definitely need a barber shop to be able to change our full appearance (Perhaps not race though) with one free, full edit whenever it comes out.

Lol if you actually believe player housing will be out at the end of the year if a barber shop has taken close to 2. Patience grasshopper.

They never said the Barbershop was coming with DB, they said that it is on the agenda "behind 80 other systems" that they're currently working on. They said VR removal was planned to occur with DB, but considering we have not heard a single word about VR removal since December I believe it was, and DB is a month or two away, there is still hope... but would be nice to hear some input from the devs such as, "we're still planning on..." or "we're still shooting for..." At least it would help alleviate a lot of the bogus rumors that keep flying around.

I'm still lv 34 and I don't know if to make another character instead of waiting maybe how long for an appearance change...

but levelling is soo slow in here... I don't want to do the same quests all over again...

I think I recall them saying it will come out late this year or early next year. They did not say what dlc it will come out with. I hope the Barber npc is ice cube

The last official word I had on this was from their Year Ahead, that we will have word on this somewhen after Q2 runs its course.

Longer term, expect to see information about systems like a character customization shop so you can change your character's gender, appearance, name, etc.

So, yeah, "No ETA" indeed. A pity too, since the Dark Brotherhood DLC -would- have made a perfect place to add options for prominent assassins to change their features after weanted posters make their face to well known all over tamriel... oh, well. So I suppose it might come somewhen later this year, hopefully...
I suppose all we can do at this point is pray it will come...
