That's not saying much at all. Twisting accounts for >2500-3000 dps in most parses that are primarily single target. Proxy can still do 2500 dps single target, true, but Shades can also account for about the same amount of dps. You're on PC and I feel like I'm educating you on the Nightblade class. Well everyone should be putting points into thaum and ele expert. Damage of proximity detonation increases for targets in the area. Not rocket science when to utilize that. And it's not rocket science to run in and do your business and run out, the only time you can't be melee is during 1 phase, other times you have no issues. I'm not going to spell it out for you, it's fairly simple why you should be doing certain things you are not.

because I've tested many skills in flex spots that NB's have. Trap, Proxy, and Shades.
Proxy and Shades came out even over the average of tests.
Trap beats came out to be a tad better if your weaves were on point and never missed a Spectral Bow.0 -

1) You're making a very big mistake and I assume others are too, but that's because we got a lot of theorycrafting going on, so whatever
2) It's not a healers job, sometimes mana gets low for a lot of reason, that fight though has infinite mana resources with harness

Tanks run low slash so why would you need to run shades for?
1. I know when to use proxy, that's why I don't in that fight. Every class doesn't put 50+ in Thaum like Templars.
2. Yes, neri is better if you can'y sustain, but if you can't sustain, slap your healers.
3. I guess the top 2 mag NB's are also bad for not using proxy on primarily single target encounters LOL
1) You're making a very big mistake and I assume others are too, but that's because we got a lot of theorycrafting going on, so whatever
2) It's not a healers job, sometimes mana gets low for a lot of reason, that fight though has infinite mana resources with harness

Well everyone should be putting points into thaum and ele expert. Damage of proximity detonation increases for targets in the area. Not rocket science when to utilize that. And it's not rocket science to run in and do your business and run out, the only time you can't be melee is during 1 phase, other times you have no issues. I'm not going to spell it out for you, it's fairly simple why you should be doing certain things you are not.

You may be the best Maelstrom NB, but you're nowhere near the best PvE Nightblade. This is personal. Ever since you said I sucked on youtube, I've had nothing but motivation. Get it out of your system while you can, Spero Sol, because when dps meters come out, you will never get a chance to say that again.
Also, we don't think we're better because we were first, we just think it's sad the best PC NA guild didn't beat the trial before console plebs.

LOL. Shades is the best dps skill to use for the situation and the boss. I don't melee range, ever. That invalidates trap best and proxy. Thus, Shades is the next logical choice considering twisting and blockade are on my bar. Shouldn't the Nightblade master know this?

With claims like those, there is no way you are doing competitive DPS, just a cookie cutter ranged nightblade. Not being melee ugh

At other points during the fight, even on the first lunar cycle you can increase your damage.. There's no dps loss to put on prox det each pad phase. And whatever, I don't want to give more tips. But maybe use it and see for yourself#MOREORBS0 -

Saying I can't pull better dps than someone based off of a skill slot is stupid. Maybe if I used trapping webs or some nonsense you could justify it, but a skill that isn't far off of proxy/trap beast. C'mon, it's ridiculous.

sigh. It's only 6 at the end. The cats go up each percentage phase. If dps is slow, then proxy isn't worth using because it has too much downtime. If dps is fast it is. This is based off a purely single target perspective. Of course proxy is useful if you're focused on adds primarily.

There are only certain points to use proximity detonation to increase your dps to make up for the dps that you are losing casting it (single target and adds increases the strength) . You just named one that you are ignoring.
