@milkbox I think with the new bosmer outfits it depends as well on the age of the player, if she is liking this kind of outfit or not. If I would be 40 or not in a very good shape, I would think twice to wear it, but I am 28 and so I like it a lot. I am used to wearing short skirts and I like especially wrap around skirts like this one - comfortable to wear, they do not hinder motion at all and look stunning, given that I have a sportive figure, which supports this style. If I would not have this figure, I would not even think about trying this. So maybe this is just a matter of this, age and probably how sportive someone is.
Look at the dress of the duchess of Cambridge again - if she would not have a very sportive figure, she could not wear this dress, because it is highly problematic for someone who does not work out and cares for her figure - so this dress is revealing as well, not as in showing flesh, but it tells a lot about her figure and her lifestyle. It is a revealing dress as well.
I absolutely love that your argument is "if you don't like this outfit, you must be old and unfit", because, how could someone young and attractive possibly have a different aesthetic than your own?
But now I'm nearing the danger zone of talking too much about fashion and feminism, because really, all I want to do is kill all the things. Wear whatever you want.

And I'm kind of perplexed with the old and unfit observation, too, because there is nothing in the TOS that says I have to look like myself inside the game. I want you to know that my old knees will never see the light of day in public ever again but that doesn't mean my petite, thin Bosmer doesn't look fantastic in the Bosmer outfit. The rather Amazonian Altmer NB looks a tad under-dressed in it though.

When I wrote this, I referred to that this feeling, that it might be out of place or too revealing, is mainly coming from older people. it is quite rare that a younger person is complaining about that. And these outfits are not out of place at all. I as well refuse the argument, that just because I am female and dress in an attractive way, that I would be against feminism. I am not, but I am against overdone feminism, which wants to convert me into a kind of a scarecrow instead to let me be what I am. I am not becoming a man ever nor would I want to, so why should I dress like one or be afraid to show some skin?- I am not going down that road.

I can't help myself!
I never said that I thought the outfit was too revealing, I said I thought it was ugly. I'm actually part of the camp that believes a woman showing skin is empowering, not demeaning.
My reference to feminism was about the style of argument. Saying that my wedding suit makes me look like a peasant because you find it aesthetically inelegant? Totally valid opinion. Saying that someone who thinks the new costume is ugly must be old and unfit? Size-ist, ageist, and anti-feminist.
I don't want to antagonize, I just want to be clear.

Feminism is about equal rights, not about equal clothes. when I wear sexy female stuff, which I think - like many other here - that they look awesome and you say it is ugly, well that is your opínion. To make me an anti-feminist, just because you don't like the dress, is ridiculous. Feminism has nothing to do with the way women dress, it is just about equal rights and equal opportunity, not about equal fashion or about hiding your body - because hiding your body is all but female.

She isn't saying that your opinion that the outfits look good is anti-feminist, she is saying that your opinion that people who don't think it looks good are old and unfit is anti-feminist (and size-ist and ageist).
People can find it ugly for a myriad of reasons, and it doesn't automatically means they think woman must hide their body (but if a woman wants to cover herself up from head to toe, by all means she should do as she pleases, it is her body and it doesn't make her less of a female), neither it means that they must be older or unfit if they don't like them. Maybe it doesn't suits their characters very well, maybe they think the sandals look weird, maybe they just don't like brown. I remember that you didn't like the Altmer Hero costume, while I loved it. It happens, and it says nothing about either of us.
Edit. and just to state this clearly - I feel the hate of fat and old people in real life, when I am wearing young and fashionable stuff - they cannot let go on commenting in nasty ways - I do not like them therefore. And so I felt attacked by those comments here and then I am getting hostile.

I was messing around with my sorcerer when this happened-
Even my scuttler looked at him like ***??

This was my impression as well - the simpler style is nice in it's own right. I wear the simpler one with characters, which have a more fancy hairstyle - too much fancy stuff would ruin the look, so the simpler one is better in this case.

I will attach a photo later of my character! She is a wood elf that has deer antlers, and red long hair, it looks so pretty
!
I liked the other ones too but they look very modern somehow with the stitches and it doesnt really fit into my RP.
No, because the elder scroll series was never about skimpy wear, and that's all that stuff is.

That's definately not true. Have you played Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim (with or without mods and addons)
With those mods ....yeah...but even the base game allows for interesting outfits.
I don't see this braking any lore or designs. I'm also glad ZOS am decided to create attractive characters and not the blocky fugly characters that require mods and addons.

I've played all three and not once did I see a skimpy outfit in any one that wasn't added by a mod. Yes you have fur/leather ones that are more like kilts, but they still covered more than these things do.

Forsworn Armour says hi. Skyrim was, however, the Elder Scrolls game with the lowest amount of revealing outfits. Methinks you're mistaking another game franchise, perhaps Nun Simulator, with the Elder Scolls.

I forgot about that set, but that's one out of how many armor sets and different games? I played Morrowind to Skyrim and I don't remember any of them be all "Ooo look, Armor bikini." Other than that set they all covered more area of the skin and where practical. Only mods went skin ***.

Oblivion's Huntsman Leathers:
I'm talking about the female version. Before you say that the female version is wearing pants, please look at where the hole in the pants is.

I've never seen that outfit, ever. Are you sure that's not a mod? I can tell that picture as a body overhaul mod in use since the Oblivion character models where.... well bad.
