Really, you guys like these plain boring costumes? Gotta say I'm quite surprised. Would you not prefer them to be bring out stuff a bit more exciting like, I dunno, daedric prince skins or summat?

I can only guess that these costumes are like the ESO equivalent of Ugg boots. Wildly popular (at one time)- but I don't get it at all. I'm very glad that people who bought this are happy with the fit, and hope it means future costumes will be base-mesh appropriate, but it literally looks like a burlap sack. Maybe it's just the Breton in me.

Holy buff.
No, because the elder scroll series was never about skimpy wear, and that's all that stuff is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There were some skimpy outfits on post-Morrowind TES games too. I would post some pics but I'm on my phone and can't be bothered.

Simply make the kilt a bit longer and remove torso part, but keep the hand/arm stuff.
So instead of 1 costume you would get 2, but you could only wear the another depending on your sex.
@Lysette- while I respect your argument and opinion, I don't think the "attraction" of this costume is about simplicity so much as a lot of abs, thighs and shoulders (not that there's anything wrong with that). I might see someone wearing this belly-shirt and sarong combo and think, "wow, there's a really lovely woman wearing a really ugly outfit." Your example photo supports your argument (simple, elegant, flattering), but I don't think the costume does.
But really, it's just a matter of taste. My favorite costumes in this game are the new thieve's leathers, the blacksmith outfit and the male wedding suit. I don't like fancy dresses or skimpy casual wear for my characters. I voted "other" instead of "no" on this because I realize my tastes aren't necessarily everyone else's and I'm glad people are happy. But I will always think it's an ugly outfit.

And the price was good too! Got the one with 500crowns, I liked the darker style =D
@milkbox I think with the new bosmer outfits it depends as well on the age of the player, if she is liking this kind of outfit or not. If I would be 40 or not in a very good shape, I would think twice to wear it, but I am 28 and so I like it a lot. I am used to wearing short skirts and I like especially wrap around skirts like this one - comfortable to wear, they do not hinder motion at all and look stunning, given that I have a sportive figure, which supports this style. If I would not have this figure, I would not even think about trying this. So maybe this is just a matter of this, age and probably how sportive someone is.
Look at the dress of the duchess of Cambridge again - if she would not have a very sportive figure, she could not wear this dress, because it is highly problematic for someone who does not work out and cares for her figure - so this dress is revealing as well, not as in showing flesh, but it tells a lot about her figure and her lifestyle. It is a revealing dress as well.
