Stuck at Loading Screen before Character Select.

Anyone else getting this?

Start game, Log in, loading screen to time out if I don't touch it, or infinite if I poke at it.

64-bit client, APU so I used that one post in steam forums from the zeni admin about the usersettings.txt, ran in admin, all ports open in firewall and router, firewall exception, high priority, checked for updates, and repaired. Also deleted ZU_ingame or w/e it is, my addons are delted, and the .crooked in the live folder.

No idea, had this problem since the start, until one day it timed out, tried logging in again, and went though after a time-out, but every patch since install, this happens. And it magically works after like 12 restarts with no changes.

No idea but it happens every time, any other tips?

I'm also having the exact same problem, updated everything, tried turning off AV, but nothing. I've had the problem for a week or so now.

What post did you see about the usersettings.txt? I can't seem to find it on the Steam forums...

I had this issue the DAY of the recent patch. I had high ping, bam. Crashed. Tried to get back in, black loading screens upwards to 20 minutes sometimes. Customer Support right now is a joke. "Forward your ports!" Yeah, no. That's not the problem.

They keep saying it's us but multiple people with different isp's and setups all have the problem it can't be our doing that we can't play.

I know, right? I have this issue ontop of being booted to the log in. And Customer Support has given everyone around the run around on both of these issues. It's seriously a joke. I might as well put up an NA Server reward to the person who fixes my issues, because let's face it. ZoS can't do any patch right without breaking other things in the process. :*

For me it's the European server, but seriously 2 tickets, with no fix or anything. Seriously the worst costumer support I dealt with.

I'm still waiting for them to say it's my system or my ISP (which it really isn't). I'm willing to bet the reason why they blame us is because they really have no clue what's going on. Two months is beyond insane. I had to buy a new rig (which I'm not mad at) to play the game after TG dropped. And now I'm riddled with crashes/loading screen issues I've never had before (which they're saying it's a connectivity issue and I have a few friends with the same ISP, similar setups and they have NO issue what so ever).

Sidenote; What are you playing since you can't play ESO?

They sent me the minimum specs needed for the game with it already told them that i reach the minimum specs, and can't be my isp since its one of the best providers here without getting optic fibre.

Being play mgsv and shadow of Mordor. Been trying some other mmorpgs, but none have taken my interest.

    This one:

Players who have an APU as well as a dedicated graphics card, and are experiencing a blank/black screen or a crash after pressing Play can try the following:
    Navigate to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Live or C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\LiveEU
    Open the UserSettings.txt file
Find the lines SET RequestedNumJobThreads and SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads and change their values from "-1" to "0".
They should then look like this:
    SET RequestedNumJobThreads "0"
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"
    Save the file.
Players should then try to launch the game again.
If there is no usersettings.txt in your folder you will need to create one. You can do so by doing the following:
-Open up notepad and create a new text document
-Paste the following information into the notepad:

    SET CLUTTER_2D "1"
    SET SIMPLE_SHADERS "0"
    SET WATER_FOAM "1"
    SET VSYNC "0"
    SET MAX_ANISOTROPY "2"

I am still not able to get to character select screen, I have had this problem for about 4 months. I do my very best not to complain when there is a problem with a game in good faith that the developers will eventually fix it but this is absolutely ridiculous. I've been paying the sub for this game since launch day and have kept paying hoping to get back into the game and have lots to spend in the store but this is enough, I am cancelling my sub.

For the people having issues with super long loading times try turning of the "water reflection quality" option for me this is the main cause for long loading times
