So is PvP just 100% UNPLAYABLE?

    On PS4 there is only one server that really has competition and that's scourge haderus was good until thieves guild and then AD pvdoored and gate camped causing DC and EP to leave and now have the same thing going on in childrend.scourge is atrocious I saw 100EP and about 80 DC at chapman mine earlier today just lagging hard.i used to pvp all the time but it's unbearable anymore and don't even mess with it unless it's to run sewers which most people won't do that

    Non champ point servers are available. I have played on them with 0 lag. But there is minimal population as well.

    Makes you wonder though...what if...

    Just wait for Camelot Unchained, the engine is being created from the ground up just to be able to handle 500+ people in keep seiges with effects and no lag.

    Good to know I'm not the only player noticing the mess that is stirring on PS4 NA.

    We don't have a ton of servers anymore. If one faction (group of guilds) decides to nightcap every 24hrs and kick the other alliances off the server due to unfun PvP, then players from both other factions move to the next campaign.

    Scourge is the main campaign now for PvP and the lag is terrible. Even worse, the guilds/players ruining servers like AD does with Haderus are convinced they are super good as reasoning for everyone else switching campaigns.

    In which war are there not large armies fighting against each other? If you want 1v1 play mortal kombat. This is supposed to be a war with seige and large factions fighting each other for the throne of Tamriel. It would be really dumb if there weren't large armies fighting each other.

    I wish they would implement arena duels or something so that people will finally stfu about the "zergs".

    As the title states....is PvP just unplayable with the amount of lag going on? I'm in Scourge, so maybe that's a problem? NA/X1 servers

    It isn't 100% unplayable I play on many different campaigns on xbox NA server scourge is one and I never have an issue unless there is zerg on zerg then I experience some lag but that's about it once I back away and pick off stragglers it is much better
    this Scourge is no where near as laggy as Haduras used to be but yea their is lag problem in that campaign.Even more so with the arrival of Hulks guild but its better then the alternative.

    Oh I don't know, maybe the war where the Gods (ZOS) have already cut down the population caps per campaign to a shadow of their former glory...

    The war where the Gods (ZOS) have stated they wish to discourage large army "zergs" from forming....

    The war where the bulk of any given alliance's soldiers have permanently abandoned the fight gone missing in action.

    The war where our fights once ruled by steel and magic are being met with One-Shot TnT bombs which mysteriously chain together and allow our large armies to get obliterated in two seconds....
    (Magicka NB + Viscious Death + Clever Alchemist + Soul Tether + Proxy)

    The war where the God's permission was called upon by soldiers to pit the finest warriors in Tamriel against each other. Our wait has no foreseeable end. (arena/battlegrounds)

    The war where a strange curse lingers amongst all the land in Cyrodiil when our legions fight. It paralyzes us, disorients our vision, slows our movement, and sometimes causes us to fall unconscious, waking up minutes later.....
    (latency, lag, slow weapon swap, skill not working, crashing, all caused by zergs)

    I can go on and on....
    The ESO which allowed large armies to fight at launch is not ESOTU. They are very different in this regard. PvP no longer functions when 1/10 of the original intended playercount fights in Cyrodiil.

    They advertised the game as large scale battles PVP.

    Remember old days with hundreds ..maybe thousands of people in one screen?

    I know they are trying to fix the PVP ..I miss old days....

    For me PVP is fine in Cyrodil ..with max 350 ms ping in great fights.

    I play azura in xb1 EU and no lag at all, lack of champion points just seems to equal no random instant deaths, its great, though that said it can take a while to find a fight as a lot don't seem to like the idea of fighting in a level playing field.

    I really dont wanna say this but yes ZOS IS RIGHT... ZERGS are killing cyrodill it makes most of the LAGS But it is in PCP CONTENT so ZOS need the fix this issue

    I've been playing on ps4 Europe prime time and no lag at all...
    Maybe because people play in different campaigns so in all fairness... can't really complain too much :p

    The map is designed to funnel players from keep to keep. It's designed for zergs. Unfortunately, the servers were not. In order to stop zergs they would need to rearrange some keeps, open up some more passes through terrain and allow players to spread out by giving them a larger pool of objectives to work for.

    This is my home campaign, and I play there in peak hours 3 to 5 times a week. You're exaggerating.

    Yes, things slow down a bit when more than 50 people are on screen and about 1% of the time (1, not 100) there are some issues but it's hardly unplayable. And even those times there are things you can still do. Staves, for example, still work great even in the laggiest of times.

    I see more lag in one game of Madden than 4 hours of Cyrodiil.

    Well as Fengrush said, zos wont bother to fix pvp. Theyll just keep grinding out poorly thought pve content, where its all just a dps *** measuring contest, as for pvp on my part i can say this, higby this game, and its creator zos (PS reff).

    That's what ZOS wants you to believe. Just like they want you to believe the Champion Point system was also the cause of lag.

    No, they will never fix it. If you just PvP just move on to another game.

    Zerging is the issue - math is telling me this, just think about how the interaction has to be resolved and then think about what math is behind it. If you cannot do that, then just stop saying it would not be the issue.

    ZOS have the tools to decide if 10 events happen or 1000.
    Thats what the code is for.
    Thats what limiters are for.

    100s of players in a war is not the issue.
    ZOS way of dealing with it is.
    Anything that can be exploited will be exploited
