Trader+Mercenary+Horse in the wilds

In the wilds we can sometimes see a single npc marked as Trader with a Mercenary and Horse. They are fighting with bandits, but when we kill bandits the trader just thank us but does not want to trade. Why does he not trade, nor share some goods in return for rescue?
I think they should give some minor rewards automatically to inventory

I started to type a thread on this too....

If nothing else, it would be nice to sale, repair and possibly as you mention....get a reward (even if its buy purchase from that NPC)

I think it gives a bit XP when saving them. It's like those other encounters, f.e. when two mages are fighting with each other, we get either XP from just watching them until someone dies, or from killing them both.
But yeah, I wouldn't mind either if the traders gave some kind of reward or let us use the trading option

Well its not the only one that gives you nothing in return. Unlike the fire one that you might run across occasionally that gives you a stamina boost. Its kind of like that poor guy that asks for money to feed his ever increasing number of children. Youre not really going to gain from any of it.

Yeah, for supporting poor guys we should be given Fortify Persuasion, 10 pts for 1 hour

As for the trader, I think there is more immersion in trading with a trader who has a horse and mercenary to defend, than with a single trader who walks alone in the wilds without any sack, but buys from us all gears and garbage like he was an endless well
