I started vMA in order to get a maelstrom destro staff, so far I have 3 to 4 of each type of weapon, all I ever got in the weekly mails were resto staves(no joke) and still no destro stave. I am at a point where I run through the arena without even dieing.

Where as people around me run it once or twice and get the staff they want immediately. It's frustrating and downright demotivating. Especially since the last 7 runs I got no weapon at all, just some jewelry I will never use, or a well fitted piece of armor.

Honestly I can thank this thread for my fist clear of vMA. I've long been an advocate for the difficulty of vMA, even having never cleared in myself. AND after seeing all the "nerf vMA cause I can't do it" threads, I went back in to prove a point. I've now cleared it twice with a Score of 320k the second time.

My post clear assessment: It's HARD. It's FRUSTRATING. It can be EXPENSIVE (specially with a potion build or something). But more than that....It was SO FUN!

Bashing my head against vMA until I eventually knocked it over was seriously the most fun I've had in ESO since Cyrodiil went to Hell.
So ZOS, Idk the right people to tag, but PLEASE don't nerf vMA. Hard content IS fun.

I agree that Increase in weapon drops that are not Defending trait would be rad. And I think that would help a lot towards making vMA more rewarding. It IS the hardest content in the game after all.

I wouldn't say that it isn't rewarding though. I'm a Stam Nightblade and got a 2H Axe Sharpened off the Last chest.
I could argue the same thing about pledge rewards. I just got my 100 vet pledges ach the other day, and I've never even seen a Kena OR Bloodspawn shoulder. Of any type. It's all up to RNGesus. :(

I'm not even joking I loved my experience in vMA, and I will be going back weekly.

Don't people get tired of face rolling all the PVE content in this game? Sure there's vMoL, I guess. I just don't understand a lot of peoples apprehension towards hard things... I get that this is just my opinion and isn't and end-all-be-all, I just wanted to add my voice to the mix.

I haven't even finished non-vet. I killed the first guy though. But it took forever, and I got bored. So I left.

Will go back one day. Decided to finish silver and gold, and craglorn and Orsinium first.

    Maybe start the fishing achievement.

    Or try and get Emperor.

I should probably wait until after the barber shop so the barons-who-walk-like-this don't realise i already tried.

Obviously it'll have to be after player housing so i can display my prizes.

I guess spellcrafting will have to come first so I can fight better...

But yeah... i'll get around to it.

With 300 ping+ and spikes I have tried to do vma this week using every guide under the sun with max stats, build and gear and one of hodors nbs builds and have decided I am done.. I have hit my 10m gold personal goal, done every pve achiv but steal 1m, the new MAW achivs and the vma achivs and I dont have a guild good enough to do MAW achivs, Cant be *** doing 2-3hours farming stolen goods for 50-60 days for the 1m steal achiv and cant do vma without wanting to shoot myself in the *** head so rather then spend hours a day getting angry and wasting my life doing achivs that are made way to long to complete like 1m steal, I am just uninstalling and going to do different youtube content for my channel.

Im fine with "wasting" my life when I am having fun on video game but time gated achivs and *** content that is both hard and almost impossible for people in *** pinged countrys is just not worth it anymore.

Wasted so much time but meh was fun getting to 95% pve achivs at least...

meh. Let this thread go dead if you want I only made it to know how *** dumb the completion % was and now I dont care about the game or the forums. Peace.

You keep mentioning your YouTube channel is if anyone cares. If you can't do vma then don't do it

So, attempted it on my magicka sorc again, looked up strategies and skills/build combo made by Deltia. Bottom line - he is very much correct that VMA is a lot like PvP. You can only rely on yourself, there's no outside healing, there's no break to let you breath for a second.

I'm a pve player. I never liked Streak, and I don't like overusing shields. Even less I like banging my head on a wall alone - I was fine learning vDsa tactics back when it was really hard to complete. I put up with it just because it was group content, and overcoming difficulties was a group effort. It was fun. You also can't rage quit in 10 minutes because you made a commitment to 3 other people.

I'm currently trying out VMA rotation on easier wb and trash mobs in Orsinium. It's totally a L2P issue, but so far I had very little fun overcoming it :(

Same as me man, started running it for an inferno staff, was first to complete it out of my group of friends, was in the party talking then through the last boss when they were doing it for the first time. I'm at about 45 completions now, still not inferno, just lightning and resto, my friends got their inferno staffs 3rd and 4th runs.

@mr_wazzabi , Yeah I feel ya. It can be quite unforgiving. I don't really think there are too many one shot mechanics though. I only had 19-20k health in there. Don't think you can get one-shotted until the 5th Arena boss. After that there's a few that the bosses have, it just comes down to learning the mechanic and avoiding it.

Just proves how completely wrong you are in your vision of "ESO community" or "the playerbase".

Just shows the lack of skill that most ppl have at keeping themselves alive, sustaining resources and putting out damage. On us PS4 the only classes that have more than 100 ppl complete it are sorcs and NBs. I think most Templars don't know how to dps sadly and can't keep themselves alive without spamming BOL(I main a stamplar and it's sad only 60 Templars complete it each week) and DKs are even less because ppl are species to tank or can't handle doing what I mentioned above.
