That would be a ton of items to sift through...
The only way I could see it working would be with an interface upgrade. But even then...
Right now, a maxed out guild where everyone has 30/30 for sale has a staggering 15,000 items up. I can't imagine trying to find something I want in a sea of 60,000 to 100,000 items.

Not a problem mate. I respect you too much to post it after you asked me not to.
Now, ON TO YOUR CONCEPT!
So, would the purpose of this be to specifically create larger stores or would there be other advantages?
One of the big things about concepts like this is the addition of checks and balances. I don't think we could just have guilds band together to have HUGE guild stores... that might eventually squelch smaller guilds to the point of one or two guild alliances having a complete monopoly on trading.
I kind of like the idea of "Trading Companies" that guilds could join. Of course in my scattershot thought of the system... it would work a bit more like a regulated trading company. I'm thinking they would have the following features.
- Each Trading Company (of which there are many) is able to be joined by any guild.
- A guild can only join a trading company if they are currently are holding a Guild Trader.
- There are multiple Trading Company representatives in each zone... and the represented company changes weekly and randomly.
- Joining a Trading Company will take effect the FOLLOWING week.
- There can also be traveling Trading Company representatives throughout the zones.
- Each Trading Company will sell your items... but it will be for an averaged price of the sell price of the item for the life of ESO.
- The Trading Company takes 15% of the selling price of the top, prior to any other fees.
- The Trading Company requires the member guilds to pay registration fees which is equal to a multiplier dependent on the number of members in the guild.
This way, guilds get to work together in large companies to gain a larger scope... but the idea of guild traders isn't completely trampled. Players would still benefit from digging through the guild traders for their items and an interesting economic dynamic would arise with the averaging of prices.
How were you thinking it would work @NewBlacksmurf ? Did you imagine a system where a guild could just "link" to another guild and could then have a huge guild and guild store?

Trade companies so to speak. The idea of a "kiosk" in terms of a trader or if not using a trader....a linking of guild stores.
Now this is solely access so to make sure we don't create more problems than opportunities I'd think the linked guild stores would just be additional selections when I choose guild stores rather than just my 5.
Really it's that simple as far as stores.
This way linking guilds (store) opens up markets otherwise closed off by the trader system which offers additional alternatives and maybe even balances the trader bidding.
Ya know me KISS so that's as far as the idea goes.

Where would the combined stores be located? would they just be accessible through the regular guild traders?

I won't use text chat if at all for this stuff...just a personal decision
But on the topic what tweaks or changes would you suggest

I'd prefer X amount of guilds available to sell at any one trader, removal of bidding as it's created a ridiculous situation now where you're required in most cases to not only pay listing along with house cut but also almost all of your profits in donations, it's a gold sink on console as the sales aren't high enough in many peoples cases.
Either that or only allow profits from house cuts and listing fees be available towards trader bidding, it'll stop all the skimming of donations by many trade guilds.
I was talking to a guy the other day (new player only played the game for a few weeks) in a trade guild I'm in and his sales that week had only been 8k, donations required are 5k a week minimum from the two trade guilds he's in, because he hadn't donated that week they'd given him a "freeloader" tag, it's creating a really toxic enviroment where they're not asking for donations anymore but are now pretty much demanding it.
I wish ZOS ACTUALLY even would add alliance system.....i see ppl having "alliances" beetween guilds , but there isnt actuall ingame alliances (or then those are VERY well hidden) [ps4]
Your idee is just a way to be less lazy. Deal with it, you need to run to each trader if you want a bargain. Wich is a perfect tool for dedicated traders who buy and resell (and I bet your a hater of that aswell).
You just want goodies cheap! NO WAY! :O)

Economy would centralize which would create more downward pressure on prices.
As is, 500 member cap works well. It adds up to a potential 4000 characters in the guild. Why is more needed?

Sorry if my idea is not clear ...I'm not suggesting to increase the guild size.
I'm suggesting to allow guilds to link to one another in an alliance so when you go to the guild store at a banker....you have a potential to access more than 5 guilds.
Character counts is of no consequence as its one human...so 500 is 500 anyway you look at it.
The points of view of some, which I think are subject to discussion is what you describe.
The guild traders allow some guilds to control the market.....this option could offset that.
*could, but there are impacts to this*
thoughts?

A lot of the things I hear people moan about in relation to traders is to do with guilds charging a weekly fee. I think a lot of this is actually the players themselves and not the guilds as their thinking is I want to sell stuff, I need to be in a guild with eg a mournehold trader, I'm not paying 2/5/10k per week that's more than I'd make in sales, its a scandal, change the trader system.
Earlier on in the game I'd have included myself in this category however now having played more and thought about it I don't have an issue with it. I don't class myself as a big trader and I don't get to play that much (I've had the game since launch on console and I'm vr14) however I probably make over 100k in sales a week. If you think about the trader bidding then for each 1m bid the guild would need to make 28.5m in sales to cover it just through selling fees or putting it another way with a full guild of 500 people everyone needs to average 57k sales per week per 1m bid on the trader. If you're making those sales then contributing a few thousand to the guild each week doesn't matter and if you're not making those sales then you're probably better off in a smaller guild bidding on cheaper traders.
Having said all that there are some people that have no interest in joining a guild but still want to sell stuff. What I'd like to see is 1 trader per faction (probably in the starter city) that anyone can list items at but so as not to undermine the current system make it so you can only list 10 items instead of 30 and make the listing fee 10% and the selling fee 30%
